"In the name of the Father, and of the Son and of the Holy Spirit, I baptize thee - Amber Declan, wait...wait...boy or girl?"

The above lines are close to the actual words of Father Eugene Mattioli who is the parish priest of St. Joseph Church in Abu Dhabi.  Amber was about two months old on her Baptismal day - 13th February 2003.  Her godparents are:

Memorable baptismal moment :  In the midst of the ceremony, in the part where parents and godparents reaffirm their faith and denounce satan, Amber pooped!  The ceremony had to be put on hold for a few minutes to give time to change nappies.  She slept like the babe she is immediately after and didn't even cry when water was poured on her head.  

A simple reception followed afterwards in our home with Oliver cooking most of the food.  Thanks to all those who shared this happy occasion with us.  Thank you for your wonderful gifts and wishes.
