Made from Olive, Palm Kernel & Palm oils, Shea Butter, & Lavender (Lavendula augustifolia) essential oil, colored with root of Alkanet for a nice, Lavender color. Powdered Lavender flowers are mixed into the soap to boost the fragrance. A real, honest Lavender.

AROMATHERAPY USES: Calming, colds, flu, acne, headaches, antiseptic.

Made from Olive, Palm Kernel & Sunflower oils, Lemongrass (Cymbopogon citratus) essential oil, & ground Bay Leaves; this soap is a natrual skin toner (and reputed to be a psychic aid)! Our Lemongrass oil is from Sri Lanka - it has a strong, wonderfully aromatic lemon/herb scent, and leaves the skin feeling very soft.

AROMATHERAPY USES: Cellulite, stress, inflammation, insect repellent.

Made from Olive, Palm Kernel & Sunflower oils, Cocoa Butter, Sweet Orange (Citrus sinensis) essential oil, Anise essential oil, ground Anise seeds, and a pinch of Paprika for color. The scent of this soap is warm and comforting (so is the feel!) and brings reminiscences of warm Spice cake.

Made with simply Olive oil, Organic Aloe Vera gel and Orange Blossom (Neroli) water for a sweet. pleasing scent, Castile soap (named after the region of Spain where the recipe originated) feels like Silk. This soap is wonderful for even the most Sensitive skin. Olive oil itself is very nourishing, but combined with Aloe and cell-regenerating Neroli (Citrus aurantium), it becomes Healer. This soap has inspired praise of "miraculous" repair of stubbornly-dry skin, sunburn and minor scarred tissue. Ideal for shaving due to its high glycerin content.

Made from Olive, Palm Kernel & Sunflower oils, Shea Butter, Grapefruit essential oil, Ylang Ylang essential oil, and a bit of powdered Red Clay for color & texture. The combination of the sweet, familiar scent of Grapefuit (Citrus x paradisii) with the Exotic Ylang Ylang (Cananga odorata) flower is pleasant and uplifting. Highly rated for both scent & feel!

ur predecessors used to run water through wood ash to make the lye that they used in their soap. Although admittedly I don't go quite that far, I do believe there's a great deal of quality in old-fashioned lye soap ~ and there's also a great deal of versatility in this method. Experimentation with different vegetable oils, natural herbs & plant essences and moisturizing ingredients like Cocoa Butter or Shea Butter allows me to achieve the best combinations of scent and feel. The ingredients are carefully chosen based on their natural abilities for Aromatherapy & Healing.

Another factor in which Heritage differs from most of our ancestral methods is that only plant- and mineral-based ingredients are used. Lard and tallow (animal fats), along with locally-grown herbs, flowers, spices & fruits were the norm "way back when", mainly because of their low cost and wide availability. These days, we have the luxury of being able to obtain ingredients from anywhere in the world, and this gives us the freedom to choose based on the benefits that they impart to our skin, and to our senses.

A beautiful rendition made from Olive, Palm Kernel, & Sunflower oils, pure Rosewater (Rosa damascena), Rose Geranium (Pelargonium roseum) & Grapefruit (Citrus paradisii) essential oils (to sweeten the secnt), and a few Rosehip tea leaves mixed in for texture. Luxuriously soft & silky, with a true Rose aroma.
