| The Harry Potter Scarf |
| I just finished crocheting the Gryffindor scarf (yes for myself :) It turned out really wicked! In the movie during the quidditch match,among other scenes, the scarf was shown. I had to have one, so I made one myself. I also embroidered a patch that says: Gryffindor: and sewed it on the scarf. That gave it a little extra somthing.It's over 7 feet long and looks just like the one in the movie,except for the patch. I just used the afgan stitch and switched colors when needed (really Easy) for the fringe I just kept looping them through the ends of the scarf.The whole scarf only took me 4 days to complete! Sorry I dont have a picture but i'll try to get one up soon! Totally changing subjects Harry Potter recipe's will be up soon. I fond some very wicked wizard food. And I've tested them all,But be warned some require an aquierd taste!! |

| Hogwarts Robe |
| If you can sew even the tinyest bit you can make your own Hogwarts School robes(and there not just for halloween) I used the Simplicity pattern #7051 and modified it to make it longer and the sleeves wider(very easy) and you dont have to use the belt or the loops,skip them! Instead get two medium sized buttons and do button loops to close the robe if you want. The whole robe cost me about $6 dollars to make and it came out awsome! For the house crest it just does'nt have to be Gryffindor and house will do! I got my patch off E-Bay and there even iron on(which rocks) So there you have it.I didnt do the rest of the school uniform yet but i'm working on it!! Oh and I even added a wand pocket, inside the robe .(very cool) |
