A visit to Windsor wouldn't be complete without going down to the River Thames -
we didn't have time to take a cruise, but we had a nice walk along the river bank.
Tina was very upset to find 'her bridge' - which we'd had pics taken on as kids and
Tina had searched to find last time she and Bill had visited the UK - had now been taken
down and replaced with a new wood and brick one a little further along the river.....
She had really wanted the two of us to have a pic taken on the old bridge,
but we had to make do with one on the new one - Tina has it on this page

We didn't remember having seen this House on the Bridge as kids -
but maybe it wasn't there then...
I've looked it up on the 'Net and it's a very popular Restaurant

I like the sort of 'fountain effect' of the sun glare
in this pic along the river

This is where 'Tina's bridge' used to be -
the metal posts either side of the river are all that's left.

And then it was off to Slough to visit the last house we lived in before emigrating to OZ :-}

We stayed at Slough Travelodge for a couple of nights as there were a number of places in the general area
we wanted to visit...

Tina has a few pics of 62 Surrey Avenue on this page and here's one I took looking down the street,
which like Holywell Way was so much narrower than I remembered.....
That's Tina standing next to our hire car outside our old house....
The time is wrong - I still hadn't changed the date stamp on my camera - it was nearly 9.30pm..

Leaving Slough Travelodge the next morning for a full day visiting several old haunts, I was rather intrigued with these two buildings at the T-intersection....  It seemed odd to me to have
Slough Baptist Church and Simply Pleasure.Com
so close together...

First we headed to Stoke Poges Church.
(I finally changed the date stamp on my camera so it's on local time now!!)

Tina has more pics and the history of the Church here
