| 2001 and Beyond... June 9-June 16, 2001 - We flew to Melbourne, VIC from Brisbane, QLD to meet the one and only Elf Sis of mine...SAMMY!!!! Met another Aussie peep, Darren (archmage) at the Brissie Airport that morning. Spent the week having lots of fun, chatting in Movies one, visitng various attractions, petting koalas, watching movies...playing with her "toys" heheehe...also got to meet other Aussie peeps such as Navi, JT and his family...got addicted to a show called....MONKEY!!!!! Sadly we Yanks cannot get Monkey! over here :(...it is a fun show, click here to find out more about it. June 17-June 25, 2001 - Back in Rocky, met more family and friends...spent time at the beach (in winter!!! Gotta love the tropical climate haha), got to hold a baby crocodile, went out to movies. Sadly this would be my last week in Australia and I was very sad to leave the morning of the 25th :(. June 25, 2001 - Amazing thing about flying across the Interantional dateline...you get to have Monday twice (accck nightmare!!!) I left Brisbane at 11:30 am on Monday and arrived Los Angeles, CA on Monday at 11:25...got back home to Chicago finally at 7:30 pm, missing Australia so much :(. July, 2001 - Work is getting me down...lose job because I was horribly jetlagged and was falling asleep at work, actually it was a blessing in disguise as I was sick of those jerks I worked with anyway...but finances don't look very good for me...car keeps breaking down...very tough month for me... August 2001 - After tons of job searching (ARRGH *rolls eyes*) I finally put my resume online to find work...and got an offer from a place called The Bannockburn Club...go to the interview and voila got new job!!!! Love the new place too...amazing facilities....cable TV on most machines :O!!! September 11, 2001 - Words cannot express the sadness of the events of this day....my prayers go to the families of the victims of the WTC and various airline flights....God Bless America and the World. October, 2001 - Celebrated my 1st Anniversary as a regular in the Movies:1 Chatroom! January, 2002 - Another year has been thrust upon us...hopefully this year will be the best yet!!!! April, 2002 - I am thinking of my next vacation....I want to meet my other online Sis Belinda (terakian00) in Maine (oooh land of Stephen King). Two of our friends in Chat, Kirk and Ron decided to make it a group outing and we all decided to meet in Maine for the 4th of July Mainely Yahoo Weekend July 4th weekend, 2002 - Meet Ron (awsum300) at O'Hare Airport and fly out to Boston...walk down the stairs at Logan International...and I see my Sis but wasn't sure if it was her (bad vision - no glasses on lol I am so vain) and she looks at me and says "get over here!" Big hugs for all!!!! Kirk (no6km) also met us at Logan and we had a visit with him at his place and then we got into the cars for the drive up to Maine...arrived Portland almost at 1 am and had dinner at Dennys cos it was the only thing open hehe...visited Portland Headlight, the wildlife preserve saw MIB2 and I killed my first Lobster :O!!!! Yep Linda boiled a lobster (Kirk thought I wouldn't - HA!!!)...and the only way I could do it without feeling sorry for the shellfish was to name him Moodles...hehe really savored the thought >:D. By the time I leave Maine...I have made some forever friends....and I cannot wait to meet them once again. August, 2002 - Made it to one year at my job :O....and I haven't killed anyone LOL!!!! January, 2003 - Happy New Year! Yahoos Movies one Chatroom is starting to go to pot....many of the old regs are moving on to have real lives...marriage, babies....I still remain just me (for now hehe) but am meeting more new friends as well :). March, 2003 - We are going to redo the Maine Trip for 4th of July again this year (it will become a yearly tradition hehe) and this time we will be up there for a week instead of five days!!!!! July 1, 2003 - The demonic_mafia_angel account is dead for messenger :(...I can still use it to access Groups and e-mail but no more chat waaah...:(( I have to go back to using my old the_linda_blair_witch_project account but I create the new id demonic_angel_linda basically so people will remember who I am in chat LOL!!! July 4th week, 2003 - Dejavu week :D....July 2nd met Ron at O'Hare airport again to fly out to Boston's Logan International Airport...get picked up by Kirk and we stop at Popeyes chicken for dinner (cos poor Kirky can't get Popeyes because for some insane reason there are none in Mass. :(() finally get back up to Maine and am reunited with my Wonderful SIS Belinda and her children Kass and Chris...how I had missed them all over the past year!!! Went to WalleyWorld for cart races and to LL Bean the next night for a late night adventure fueled by iced coffees from Dunkin Donuts :D. On 4th of July we also met Jimmy (aka officer_jimmy) and we barbequed outdoors talked and enjoyed fireworks...got the funniest voice mail from my brother Paul singing the apple pie song #i wear a paper hat would you like an apple pie with that# so I HAD to play it for everyone and now we are all addicted to apple pie :D LOL and saw fireworks that nite...also took a trip to Bailey and Orr Islands, got caught in a thunderstorm and saw Finding Nemo at the movies that nite :)....I have also become single again that weekend... Today - I am working on reinventing myself physically and spiritually...looking forward to making new friends and meeting special people :)...thank you for taking the time to look at my life story...Adieu for now! |
