| The Eighties!!! (yay for teen angst :P) April, 1980 - I get my first training bra, ooooh how exciting! May, 1980 - Womanhood is thrust upon me! Nuff said. December, 1981 - Went to my first slumber party at my friend Blanche's house....had heaps o'fun, one girl got drunk on a weird drink mixture that included 7up, wine and maraschino cherry juice :P ewww. January, 1982 - I DISCOVER MAKEUP!!!! June, 1982 - Graduated from the 8th Grade, getting ready for High School woohoo!!!! February, 1983 - We find out that Mom is expecting another baby, prays for baby sister....please I want a sister this time :((!!!! June 21, 1983 - I DID NOT GET THE BABY SISTER WAAAHH :((!!!! But my baby brother Paul was born in the wee hours of this morning at Illinois Masonic Hospital, Chicago, Illinois, U.S.A. - after the Cubs blew a doubleheader in Pittsburgh the night before :| grrrr, I still wuv having the new baby brother tho :D. June, 1983 (one week later) - Baby Paul is brought home from the hospital, I am impressed with how new babies smell so great (was too young to notice the last time lol), couple days later Lane Tech H.S. (where I attended school) has their 75th anniversary parade woohoo, we get to blow the day off school at the Cubs game, even though they made us walk all the way down to Addison and friggin Clark lol, the Cubbies beat the Phillies..damn I forget the score :P. September, 1983 - I have joined the Lane Tech Marching Band as a clarinet player woohoo, means I get to see all home football games for free :D, uniforms are friggin hot tho :(. Also, I will earn a letter for this :). April 7, 1985 - Happy Sweet Sixteen!!!! Yeah so what if it was Easter, dammit my birthday takes precedence!!!! I got heaps o' pressies and I got this weird corsage that my Grandma Charlotte made with sugarcubes, I might still have it somewhere.... November, 1985 - LTHS goes to the Prep Bowl, woohoo!!!!! :D...We lost to Mt. Carmel tho :| but we got on TV and went to Soldier Field! January 1986 - Bears Win Super Bowl XX!!!!!!! YAYAYAY!!!! Next day we play in a big parade which turned out to be a friggin disaster because the bloody idiots crushed against the bus nearly crushing us! April, 1986 - Experiment with hair color has been successful!!! I start to have way more blonde moments ;). June, 11 1986 - Graduated from Lane Techinical High School. ARRGH should have accepted the college offer from Grandma Lois to go to Uni at U of Arkansas :(, but I didn't want to leave Chicago. May 3, 1988 - Finally found my first part-time job as slave erm service clerk (aka bagger) at Jewel Food Stores...my oreintation was today lol...I start work the next day :D Summer of '88 - FARGIN HOT!!!!! Cubs get lights finally at Wrigley Field 8/8/88 and I finally get a real social life with best friend and future former cousin in law Nancy and also Sue and Connie...not to mention my future first BF Officer Butthole (he was working with us then). Christmastime and New Years 1989 - Get promoted to checker, enjoy my first Christmas where I could buy real pressies and get ready for the 1990s woohoo!!!! |
