 Beating Magic Mountain!
Since the announcement of Magic Mountain's three new coasters, the Cedar Point coaster rein may deteriorate. Rumors have already surfaced for the scheme to obtain this record again: rumored plans for the near future are focused on a Launched Coaster. Something such as, a S&S Thrust Air, B&M Sit-down and a Disney's Rock �n Roller coaster. Management for the park were in Florida this year at Island of Adventure (IOA) and Disney so we may see a version of the Rock 'n Roller erected if they enjoyed it's qualities.

Soak City is rumored to buy a MasterBlaster waterslide from NBGS. CP:AP's judgment:
Cedar Point to get new rides in 2002?
In an ariticle in the Sandusky Register says that CEO Mr. Kinzel is planning on getting a few small rides for 2002. CP:AP's judgment:

Magnum Sinking?
One of the most repeated rumors is the one about the Magnum XL-200 sinking. To answer the rumor, No, Magnum is not sinking and is not being sold. This is even in Cedar Point's FAQ'a on their Official Site. CP:AP's judgment: No Accuracy!
Space Issue?
Another rumor is the very believable one about Cedar Point running out of room. Once again, no. Cedar Point is not running out of room. Just this past year they found room to place a record breaking coaster and all they moved was the Giant Wheel and part of the Rail Road. If Cedar Point adds a new attraction, they will most likey move another ride to find room. CP:AP's judgment: No Accuracy!
Boardwalk Project
The largest rumor for the 2001 season is the infamous Boardwalk Project. It would occupy the area from the Giant Wheel to Ocean Motion. From what I have heard, Cedar Point wants to create a boardwalk/carnival type atmosphere with games, flat rides, and some food stands. They might also have a Mad Mouse type coaster. Some people think it will take a couple years to plan, and might also see a wooden or a launched coaster in the years. Floorless?
Many people have heard the big spoof about Cedar Point getting a record breaking B&M Floorless coaster to be located between the Gemini and Mean Streak. It is predicted that Cedar Point will obtain a coaster in 2002 due to the parks expansion history. This may be a B&M Floorless but the rumored location wouldn't be accurate due to Lighthouse Point which will occupy the space next to Mean Streak referred to as the "Bone Yard." CP:AP's judgment:
