Since Raptor's first flight in 94' it has spread it's wings for over 10.4 million daring flyers. Raptor's creators, Bolliger & Mabillard of Monthey Switzerland, conceived the idea of an inverted ski lift style train fixed to an inverted track enabling inversions previously unimagined with Arrow Dynamics' suspended coaster like Iron Dragon. Raptor's beautiful greenish hues gracing the sky are the first thing one see when entering Cedar Point through the Main Gate and the last when leaving. This is why the line for Raptor is extremely long in the afternoon but then dies down at night while people are watching the Summer Spectacular. Through the 2 minutes, 16 second flight over 3,790 feet of track the "prey" encounter 6 dizzying inversions which include a 100 foot vertical loop, a zero-gravity roll and a "cobra roll" that turns riders upside down twice. Raptor was named the world's best inverted coaster and still thrills prey as they fly from the claws of the Raptor allowing them to Kick The Sky!
