The Brackett Family

The Brackett family are good friends of the Strodes. By 1978, Leigh had become the Sheriff of Haddonfield Illinois. Little is known about the family other than what is shown in the film series. However, we do know that Mrs. Brackett exists because she is mentioned by both Leigh and their daughter Annie.
Annie is a feisty young girl in pursuit of fun and a good party. Sheriff Brackett is seems very close to his daughter as evidenced by learning of her death in Halloween II. That scene ends both Annie and the Sheriffs roles in the Halloween series. But the two are very important to the Halloween world because of their characters and roles in the storyline. In 1981, Sheriff Brackett retired and he and his wife moved to St. Petersburg, Florida.
