Jan 4 ~~ 2003 ~~ Regular Stated Communication A committee of owners, under supervision of the city of Laval, has been formed to oversee at least some of the projects below. You will find a link to their email addresses on the previous page. Dog owners list. If anyone has something they would like to share with the other owners, (i.e. message board or temporary shelter), please feel free. Put your name on it if you like. It has been noted by the author, and I have received emails concerning the deportment of some of our dogs. Some are becoming aggressive to the point of drawing blood. Come on people! This is a park and not the WWF. The sign at the entrance clearly indicates that aggressive dogs must be muzzled. It is not the other owners that will enforce this, but a simple call to the police will get any problems arranged in a hurry. This is a public park, and as public parks go, the police of Laval are responsible. For those of you who wish, there are some good articles in the behaviour section of these pages, and you can follow this link to go directly there. Do NOT forget that this park, is for our dogs and ourselves and still an experiment that must work if it is to continue in operation. Please, please do your part. We shall continue with the existing used plastic bag system as well to try to cut costs. Work to be Done : Lights Water Supply ( looking more like a possibility ) Grass for springtime Trees or shrubs Temporary shelter for winter ( being investigated ) Picnic Tables ( promised for springtime ! WOW ) Message Board Forget all of the above unless we start looking after the park ourselves ! Coming Events: There is to be a meeting with the city soon, (January 29,2003) about improvements to the off-leash area. Remember . . . . this is a pilot project and we need help of any kind . . . even encouragement to continue what has already been started.
