| Gabriel was born and raised in New Breman, by his father and his step mother. His real mother Angelique Santino left when he was only 2. He is one of three children, the only one who was not his step mothers child. As such he was often left out within the family although his father did try to include him. He was always a quiet child, he was painfully shy and whenever there were groups of more than 3 he could only deal with it by closing his eyes. He studied well, but had few friends, and was often bullied for his soft spoken manner and shy blushes. When puberty hit his manner changed somewhat, he was still shy, but when angered he would flare up with a passion no one ever knew he had. The bullies subconsciously feeling his predatory nature backed away from him in fear. His first change occurred when he was attacked by a street gang on his way home from school. They started to push him around and something inside of him snapped, he shifted into the war form and started to fight back. Seeing this they shifted into ugly deformed crinos spirals. Facing them he knew that he could not survive. He was about to make a break for it when he spotted a bum out of the corner of his eye sneeking up behind them. The bum winked as he shifted quietly and snuck closer. Gabriel tried to keep them distracted, praying that no one came down the alley whilst the bum snuck up behind one of them. He shifted bringing his claws down on the back of the crinos spiral, surprised he went down spitting blood as the other three surrounded him. Saying a silent prayer to Gaia he taunted them while Gabriel assessed the situation. The three crinos closed in and attacked the gnawer as gabriel attacked the first, finding the newfound strength that gaia gave him aided him well...After that he remembers little...except that they both survived and the last of the spirals fled into the night to be later killed by another of their kind. He later went on to do his Rite of Passage and that is the last anyone saw of Gabriel really. A few stray striders may have seen him at the glade once or twice, one or two people saw a painfully shy kid sitting under a tree in Spruce National. |
