We selected a processor of 3.0 GHz, because this pc will be used for specialized application software and may have to perform multiple tasks at a time. For this reason and also to keep the pc more upgraded and to reduce the upgrading expenses, we selected a RAM of 512MB. An 80GB hard disk is mainly to allow room for programs that may have to be installed in the future, and for the data files and for the many temporary files that windows create as it runs. Windows XP is the latest version of windows operating system, and it provides an easy access to much basic and specialized application software. And it is easy to learn and interact with the computer. A 15� LCD monitor will take up less desk space and will be more comfortable. A floppy disk drive of 1.44 MB and USB ports of 03, and other special ports 04 will be enough for this pc, hence it will not perform much complicated works. Antivirus software is very important to keep the files away from the virus. For this we selected the latest version of the Norton. One year warranty is to cover the most problems that may encounter at the early stage of use.
The market price of a desktop pc which includes the above features differs depending on the country and the state. In the Malaysian market the price of this pc is about RM2100. But in international market price of this pc is around USD650. The price is little bit expensive mainly because of the LCD monitor, and the motherboard.
