Items with an asterisk were VERY useful on my trek! There were things I used for trekking only, or in Chitwan only, but most items got some use during the trip. I should have taken shampoo and conditioner in small plastic bottles... the sachets "exploded" in my toiletry bag during the trek. This was because the porter bound all our luggage with heavy ropes and things got squashed.
