they already had the song PTM ready, and just added it to the
album.There were several other songs the Offspring recorded for
Ixnay which were rejected. Maybe they'll be released someday

streight facts:
Gone away is about Dexter's wife and mother to his child, who
died. She did not commit suicide like many people like to think,
but she was killed in a car crash. No Hero is based on somebody
else.

I have an mp3 taken from the "now and then" bootleg
it is Get it Right (one of my fav tunes btw) and the lyrics are
not the album ones. what are they guys? why did you change them?
Noodles' Answer:
This is a funny story. That version must have been recorded before
we made Ignition. When Dexter would write a song, he would just
make up lyrics for it just off the top of his head as we played
them live. Usually they would come from some subject he was studying
in school. The version you have might well be about gene-splitting.
Or it might simply be gibrish which is more likely.
