I removed one of the power steering hoses, but I probably didn't need to and it spilled a lot of power steering fluid so I would recommend against it.

| Now I removed the single bolt on the front of the power steering bracket that attaches it to the block as well as the three that attach it on the side. | ||||||||||||||

| The shot to the right shows the upper rear of these three bolts. The one in the front also was the ground connection for the alternator in my engine. | Finally I removed the two bolts holding the power steering pump to the Y bracket. Here is where the front bolt attaches, there is another one behind the pump. With this removed, I could set the power steering pump aside in the engine bay. | ||||||||||||||
