My 1st Year

I came home on July 2nd, 1999. I was 63 days old and my mum and dad had just moved into a very beautiful house. I was still having lots of problems drinking my bottle. I liked to keep mum and dad on their toes. I was still having the dusky colour episodes. This was to go on for quite a few months. The health nurse would come to visit me once a week till my due date and then they decided I was big enough to go to the local hospital and see her. I was growing very well and everyone was very happy with me.

Mum and dad took me on my very first holiday in September, we went to Coolum beach for a lovely long weekend. I got to see the surf and sand for the very first time. I even got to wear my swimmers and dip my toes in the pool!!!

Just after we got home from our holiday, I got some little cold. This caused more problems with my breathing and eating and I had to be taken in an ambulance back to the hospital. They tested me for RSV but it turned out to just be a cold. They kept me in the hospital overnight just to watch me eat! Thankfully that has been my only readmittance to the hospital since I came home in the first place.

I learnt lots of new things in my first year.I learnt how to hold my head up, to sit up, to crawl and to pull myself up to standing. Wowyou can see so much better this way. I learned to eat real food like cereal and custardhmmm I like that custard, especially when mummy adds applesauce to it.

My big bro's and sister came over to see me lots. Kristen used to think it was great fun to dress me up in pretty outfits. And Clinton and Ben would play football with me. I love it when they come to see me, we have so much fun! My Grandpa here in Australia loves me too. He plays some pretty cool games also!! He just loves to spoil me!

When I was 9 months old, mum and dad decided to take a holiday to Canada. They were a bit worried about taking me, as it was February and the middle of winter there, but after some reassurance from the doctors that I would be fine, they decided to go. We had a fantastic time. I got to meet my brother Kyle, and my nana and grandad and my aunts and uncles and cousins too. We went to Niagara Falls and had lots of shopping expeditions..Hehehe.my daddy and his beanies!! The plane trip home was pretty bad. Dad had some trouble with his legs and they detained him in Sydney, so mum and Clinton had to carry on home without him. I had also caught a cold on my last few days in Toronto, so I was not feeling that great either. I was glad to get home!! We did have a fantastic holiday tho!!!!!

My first year was really great!!!!
