My 2nd Year
My 2nd year has been very busy!! We have moved house twice. My daddy got a new job and has to work much longer hours now. I miss playing with him as much as we used to!!
In June 2000, my brother Ben made the Queensland under 15's Rugby League team so this meant another holiday!! Yippee!!! I love these holidays. We went to Port Macquarie in New South Wales, it was a seven hour drive and I don't like the car much, but it was great to go and watch Ben!!! His team won the whole carnival and are Australian champions.
In July, my brother Kyle came out here to Australia to visit us from Canada. It was great to be able to play with him every day and we got to go to some fun places like Sea World too!!!
Kristen started working and I didn't get to see as much of her as I would like, but she still popped in lots of times and sometimes we would go shopping�just the girls!!!! Clinton got a new job, also, right near where we live�so we see lots of him on his lunchbreaks�hehe!!
I have now learnt to walk and I try to talk lots more now too�Mummy understands most of what I am trying to say, just gotta get everyone else clued in on Maddiespeak!! I am learning to use a spoon and can now drink out of a sippy cup�.Only juice tho�.must have my milk in my bottle still!!!! I am eating a lot better now and really love cheese, fruit and toast�.I don't mind green beans and peas too!!! OH yeah�and mum and dad even let me have a Happy Meal at McDonalds now�ahhh now that is living!!!!
During this year, the eye doctor discovered that I have a squint in my left eye. I have to wear glasses now, which I hate. I don't mind wearing them outside, but as soon as I get in the house, I whip them off. The last time we went to the eye doctor he told my mummy that now we have to try a patch. I don't mind this too much, and I will keep it on most of the time!!!
My 2nd year has been really great too!!!!
