Unchaining my Heart
Chapter 5
-Brian-
There were some people selling some figurines and other
material by the
entrance of the Ming Tombs. They had little statues of
dragons and chess sets
made out of ivory.
Inside, we came across a road, statues of animals on
the side of the
road. I heard that they were the guardians or something
like that. I'm not
exactly sure. Frank waved the red flag he was holding,
trying to get our
attention. "Now, we're going to walk down this road over to
the other side,
where the gate to the exit is. You guys can don anything
you want, just as
long as you get back on the bus..." He trailed off,
glancing down to his watch. -
"...Around 2:00. Let's go."
Everyone started forward down the road and I decided to
follow, until
Alex pulls me back. I turned back to him. "What is it,
Alex?" I ask.
"You know, I was thinking of taking that trolley over
there..." I followed
his gaze, to where a red trolley was. There was the head of
a dragon at the
front of the trolley. It started to move. "Besides, we'd
get to the other
gate early and that means spending more time with you."
I smiled at him before grabbing his hand and went to
the trolley before
it took off. I get in, Alex following behind me. The
trolley started to gain
speed and went down the road. We approached the guys,
Frank, Monica, and our
bodyguards. "Hey!" Alex calls out, causing them to look
back. We waved to
them before we passed them, then leaving them behind.
Finally, we were alone. At least I think we are. The
cold air blew
against me, brushing through my hair, and causing me to
shiver. I scoot
closer to Alex, trying to get myself warm. He wraps his arm
around me and I
snuggled closer to him.
As the trolley continued down the road, we passed
statues of camels,
lions, elephants, and there was a statue of a mythological
creature called a
Ki-Lin. I heard that it was a Chinese unicorn. Oh well...I
pushed the thought
aside and I'll think about it later, but now I want to do
is spend some time
with Alex.
"The statues are amazing," Alex says. "But..." He
trailed off.
I shifted in my seat so that I'm facing Alex. "But
what?" I asked.
"But you...you're much more than that. You're truly
amazing. No...you're
incredible," he answers, his voice raspy. He cups my face
in his hand and my
eyes shut as I leaned into his soft touch. I opened my eyes
once again,
staring at his beautiful features.
People really see Alex as the bad boy of the group.
Well he is in public
and in front of the other guys. But behind that, he's a
sweet and loving
person. When we're alone, it's like he's a different
person. His eyes would
sparkle and his smile would get me over the edge. Okay...so
I may be a little
overreacting, but I just can't help it. There is no one in
this world that
I'd rather be with.
Reaching up, I slowly removed his shades, revealing those
chocolate brown
eyes. My heart starts to speed up by just looking into
them. He pulls me
forward and the next thing I knew our lips met in a loving
kiss.
-AJ-
I don't know how long we were kissing, but I finally
broke it off, in
need of air. Looking into his eyes, I smiled. "I love you,
Brian," I say to
him, running my fingers through his soft curls, and our
breaths mingling
between the two of us.
"I love you too, Alex," he replies. He leans in, and my
eyes fluttered
shut as our lips met once again. His body was pressed
against mine and he
moaned as I took his bottom lip, sucking on it. His arms
are now wrapped
around my neck, pulling me closer to him. I shifted in my
seat as I wrapped
my arms around his waist.
Something stopped with a jerk, breaking our kiss and I
nearly fell
forward. I came back to reality and I almost forgot where
we were. I sat
back, looking around to see that we're in front of the exit
gate. Whoa, that
was one short ride. Well, at least it felt like it. I
looked at my watch. We
still have like about an hour and forty-five minutes left.
I turn my attention back to Brian, his eyes sparkling
like stars. "Hey
listen," I began, my lips close by his ear, my breath
against it. He shivers
in my arms. "We still have an hour and forty-five minutes
left. So I was
wondering if you want to look around and just be alone."
The smirk on his face turned to a sweet smile and his
eyes seem to
sparkle brighter. "Of course," he answers, his accent
thick. I got out of the
trolley, grabbing his hand as he got down. "You're such a
gentleman."
"Thank you." I winked at him and before I could place
my shades on, he
grabs them.
"No. I don't think so, mister," he said. This man never
ceases to amaze
me. He always do something that would catch my attention.
His accent thick,
but sweet. I just love everything about this man. "You
always hide your
pretty eyes behind shades." He puts them on and then sticks
his tongue at me.
"Put that thing back in your mouth unless you want to
do something with
it," I said a mischievous smile planted on my face. I saw
the amusement on
his features.
"Hmm...I'm thinking of using it for something. Saving
it for a special
someone." Oh my...How does this man do that? I'm over the
verge when he said
that. It seems like he can read me like a book. Okay, I
need to calm myself
down before I lose control. Breathe AJ, breathe damn it!
Grabbing my hand, he led me to some sort of park of the
Ming Tombs. There
was a tall white pillar about 5 to 7 stories high, with a
statue of the
dragon on top. There was a water fountain, where there were
three dragons
joined in the middle, with a sphere in between the three of
them. They must
be very fond of dragons and all.
I looked around, seeing if anyone was there.
Nervousness went through
my body, and making me uneasy. I don't want the news to get
out so quickly.
The media would be all over it. Sighing in relief, there
was nobody. Brian
led me to a nearby bench under the trees and sat down. Our
hands were still
entwined as the cool breeze blew, and I feel Brian
shivering.
I sat up, releasing Brian's hand for a moment. "Alex,
what are you
doing?" Brian asks. I bring him closer to him then wrapped
the both of us in
my jacket. "Hmm..." He moaned as he rested his head on my
shoulder.
"Feeling better?" I asked. He nods against my shoulder
and he cuddles
against me. I kiss his forehead softly and he sighs. "I
love you, Brian."
"I love you, too, Alex."
