Unchaining my Heart
Chapter 6
-AJ-
I'm finally home and I'm really tired. Can't until I get
some sleep. I drop
my luggage in the living room as I looked around my home.
It hasn't changed
ever since I left. I found my cup of coffee on the coffee
table. It's
probably like a month old. Ugh.
A pair of arms slip around me and I couldn't help but smile
at the contact.
"What's on your mind, baby?" Brian whispers in my ear, and
I shiver.
"I'm just glad to be home," I reply as I turned in his arms
to face him. "And
I'm glad that you can stay for a while. It gets kind of
lonely around here."
"Same here," he answers. "And would you mind if I bring
Tyke here while I'm
staying here?"
"Sure, whatever makes you happy, angel." I place a kiss on
his forehead, his
eyelids, and finally captured his lips that taste so sweet.
My lips brushed
against his soft lips, opening my mouth just slightly, and
inviting his eager
tongue in. I lost track of time and I finally pulled away
from Brian. His
blue eyes are locked with mines, and I see the love in
them. "I love you,
angel," I whisper in his ear.
"I love you too. And angel?" Brian began. "You've never
called me that
before."
"Because you are an angel," I answered. "You're the one I
love."
"Really?" He leans in, his lips touching mines once again.
Then, a cell phone
rang. Damn, just had to ruin the special moment. He pulls
out of my embrace
and I watched as he walked to his jacket to get his phone.
Sighing, I grab my
luggage and I walked up the stairs.
-Brian-
I got my cell phone out from my pockets in my jacket and
looked down at the
little screen to see who it was that was calling.
It was Nick. Probably going to check up on me. What a buddy
he is. I pressed
the talk button and placed the receiver by my ear. "Hey
Nick," I greeted as I
watched Alex walk up the stairs, struggling to carry his
belongings, and I
couldn't help but smile.
"Hey you," replied Nick on the other end of the line. "Just
thought I'd check
up on you, you know." Yep, I was right. "I called your
house, but you weren't
answering."
"Well, I'm going to stay with AJ for a while," I answered.
"It gets lonely at
home and I get bored."
"Ah, I see. That's cool. I'll be visiting my family. I'm
probably going to
spend most of the week there and I have to help Aaron with
some of the music.
How long are you staying at AJ's?"
"Um...until Wednesday. On Friday, I'll be flying over to
Kentucky to visit my
folks and I'll be back around Saturday," I answered.
"Well then, I should be getting to bed, I have a flight at
8 tomorrow
morning. Got to get some sort of rest because it's just
uncomfortable on the
plane."
"I know what you mean. Well, I'll see you in a week, all
right? Later, kid."
"Hey! I'm no kid! I'm like a foot taller than you are. I
should just call you
Shorty. Later, Shorty."
I chuckled. "Later." I pushed the end button and returned
my cell phone to
its original place. From there, I went up the stairs, in
search of Alex. I
approached his room, his door open, and I walked in. I see
him lying on the
bed, but I'm not sure if he's asleep. I shrugged and walked
over to him,
lying next to him.
He shifted and then we were face to face with each other.
"Hey," he
whispered.
"Hey," I whispered back as he cupped my face. I leaned into
his touch then
grabbed his hand, kissing each one of his fingers. Our eyes
locked and he
leaned in, our lips touching in a soft, passionate kiss. We
finally pulled
away, my lips still tingling from our kiss, and our eyes
locked. "I love you,
Alex."
"I love you too, Brian," he said. I smiled and snuggled
against Alex, my head
resting on his chest. I've never felt like this before, so
warm and complete.
Holding him lose, his body against mine and I never want
the moment to end. I
just want to stay in bed
with him, not caring of the world around me. However, we
can't stay here
forever.
"So who called?" he asked after a moment of silence and
breaking my thoughts.
"Nick," I answered. "He just called to check up on me. He
called my place and
said there wasn't an answer."
"Oh. How is he anyway?"
His chin is now resting on my head, not that I mind,
really. "He's going to
leave at 8 to fly over with his family. He's going to be
there for a while
and help Aaron out with his music," I explained as I
yawned.
"Tired?" I nodded my head against his chest. "You can go to
sleep now."
"I love you, Alex," I whispered as I closed my eyes.
"I love you, too," he echoed back as he kissed my forehead.
From there, I
drifted off to sleep.
