| Jimmy Representing FRD For Race in Macau |
| In the status of FRD car racer, Ji- mmy attended a function held for the FRD racing team to wish the t- eam victory in the coming race in Macau, as well as the opening ce- remony of a new boutique, FRD F- ashion in Shanghai. Just rushing over from the filming set of 'SJQX- LSB', Jimmy would be flying off to Macau for the race tomorrow. FRD would be organising the Formula Renault race in Macau, and Jimm- y is the first HK-TW artiste to parti- cipate in this race, competing with all the outstanding car racers from over the world. | s his results this year weren't sa- tisfactory, he greatly hope that he would be able to complete the ra- ce in Macau this time very smoo- thly. Racing for 6 years now, the man in the racing scene that Jimmy a- dmires most is Michael Schuma- cher. Jimmy said that Schumach- er's skills is very impressive, es- pecially under the unfavourable conditions of the rain, he is able to maintain safety and calmly su- rpass the others. | Wire Faults, Jimmy Fractured Around His Waist |
| Recently, Jimmy had an accid- ent with the wirings, but he did not think much about it and onl- y went to see a doctor after tol- erating for 2 weeks. The diagn- osis was a fracture on his lum- bar vertebra, which gave Jimmy a big shock, as this is the most serious injury he suffered ever since he started acting and ra- cing. Jimmy who is filming in Zhe Ji- ang, Hsin Chang for 'Shu Jian Qing Xia Liu San Bian', had un- warily fell forcefully to the grou- nd when he was suppose to f- all onto a support when he was filming a scene of hanging in mid air 2 weeks ago. Thus his waist region was in direct cont- act with the ground. At that poi- nt of time, although Jimmy did shout out in pain, he didn't thin- k much about it and continued acting. Thinking back about it, Jimmy said, "If I can't even take that sort of pain, how to call my- self a man, so of course I have to tolerate it. Therefore at that ti- me, I only thought about filmin- g, and it didn't cross my mind t- hat it is so serious." Later on t- he condition worsens, and the pain didn't go away. In order to rush work, he thought it was ju- st muscular pull and asked his assistant to go to the nearest pharmacy to buy a muscle pain relief plaster to relieve the pain. However the condition not only didn't improve, even the region where the plaster was on had caused allergy with rash and s- welling. Two days ago (27th) t- he pain was so great that when Jimmy got up to brush his teet- h, he couldn't even bend his w- aist, and his face turned pale, couldn't stand upright. Then o- nly did he realise that this is s- erious. His agent, Xia Yu Shun immediately asked the filmset to excuse Jimmy and immedia- tely sent him for medical attent- ion. Through the X-ray film, the doc- tor diagnosed that Jimmy's lu- mbar vertebra is fractured. He asked Jimmy in surprise, "You can really tolerate! Only seekin- |
| g medical attention after drag- ging for so long." After knowing that Jimmy still continued on with action scenes after his inj- ury, the doctor could only shak- e his head and said, "If the fra- cture is not properly treated, you'll be prone to rheumatism in future." He warned Jimmy t- hat he has to lie in bed for 3 d- ays and must avoid all vigoro- us actions. Knowing that Jim- my is going to continue filming, he might as well scare him, "If you're not careful, beware that this would affect your sexual li- fe in future." This shocked Jim- my that he didn't dare to move. However, as the filming has to be completed before the Chin- ese New Year next year and Ji- mmy is the main lead actor, w- ith 400-500 scenes. Currently, only 100 scenes have been c- ompleted, to think about restin- g is actually 'mission impossi- ble'. Jimmy's management co- mpany could only try hard to n- egotiate with the production, a- llow him to film in non-action scenes in the days coming so as to prevent Jimmy's injury fr- om worsening as much as po- ssible, and now, Jimmy drinks tonic bone brewed soup like d- rinking plain water, hoping to r- eplenish more calcium and al- low the injury to recover faster. Although this is not the first ti- me Jimmy is injured, but this i- s the most serious one that ev- er happened. In the past, they were mostly superficial injurie- s, such as when filming 'JSSJ' 2 years ago, Jimmy had ever injured his face and bled on th- e spot. This shocked Xia Yu S- hun who wants Jimmy to stop for a while and rest his wound. But Jimmy's attitude was just l- ike in this incident, and persis- ted to carry on, not wanting to delay the progress.
