| Never Ending Commercials For Jimmy |

| "Commercial Heavenly King" Jimmy is out and about again. Although his Taiwanese fans may not seen all of his advertisement, for this typical "camera-face- ed" shuai ge (literally translated as handsome guy), just last year, he had accepted 12 commercial proje- cts. At the moment, he is in China Hainan Island, shooting a sun-block advertisement. Jimmy has beaten 2 most popular newcomers, Ste- phanie Sun and Jolin Cai as well as popular Taiwa- nese TV hostess, Matilda Tao who shot 8 commerc- ials, being the top among all the Taiwanese celebri- ties with 12 commercials. Since he is shooting his new commercial in Hainan Island, everyday, he enjoys sun-tanning under the hot sun and declares, "So happy! Though I'm work- ing but I feel like I'm on a holiday!" Jimmy who does- n't get tan easily, is slightly darker now. When asked if there will be a scene of him exposing the upper part of his body in this commercial, he lau- ghs secretively, "You'll know when you get to see this commercial." Jimmy has done a wide varieties of commercials fro- m car fuel, chocolate pies, formal suits to mini aqua- rium and there are still many companies willing to continue their contracts with him. Esso is one of the- m. Moreover, it's just the starting of the year and Jim- my has already accepted 6 more projects. Looks like he will be breaking his last year's record. In March, he will be heading t o Shanghai to film a drama serial, "Hua Yang Nian Hua" and in another drama serial produced by his manager, Xia Yu Shun, "JD2001", he will be working together with Tae as twin brothers. Moreover, on the 25th of Feb is the 5th anniversary of Jimmy's Fan Club "Ying You Hui" and Jimmy hopes that his fans will cherish this opportunity to gather as after that he will have to be in China for a long period of time for his drama filming. | Jimmy who is doing very well in his work had film- ed China, Hong Kong and Korean commercial, said, "This year, my tar- get is to do 12 commer- cials, 1 drama serial, 1 movie and 1 music albu- m." Though with a good career, his love life is still empty. About his rumour- ed lovers, he said that with Ruby Lin, "We are both busy so we seldom contact each other." With Yuki Hsu, "We don't know eachother well, of course we don't keep in contact." And about his rumoured model girlfriend, Ke Jia Qing, a few years ago, "We are JUST friends!" During the 5th anniver- sary of "Jimmy Fan Club", the head of the club rush- ed back from Hainan Isl- and to Taipei and celebr- ated together with 50 luc- ky fans. Jimmy added ha- ppily, "There are a total of about 3000 members in the fanclub in Taiwan and overseas." These 5 years, there are many loyal fans who still show their strong support for him. Although he has to fly around very often, he promised to hold 3 gath- erings with them every year. "Last year, there's my birthday party, an out- door BBQ and a safety driving session, this year, we'll think of more enrich- ing events." During the celebration in the KTV, Jimmy sang the song his fans chose for him- Jay Zhou's 'xin qing'. Also, he who is very eas- ygoing went into each of the 3 KTV rooms and sa- ng with his fans. During the 5 days there, the only people we see around are the 4 or 5 hotel waiters." Just to see Jimmy, the wait- ers even delibrately cut the wires to the TV and air-con in his room and came up to his door offering to check and repair for him, making Jimmy don't know whether to cry or laugh. After acting for many years, Jimmy has never acted bedroom scenes with any female stars. He said seri- ously, "I haven't give my fir- st kiss onscreen yet." Is it because it's a no-no for an idol? "Actually, I didn't purposely avoid it and I bel- ieve my fans are not again- st it but I think we must con- sider whether this is neces- sary in a scene." | er new drama "JD 2001" will be led by Jimmy and Tae, but Jimmy said, "I' ll film one drama a year, soon, I'll be heading for China to film HY- NH, after filming, I'll have to prepare for my music album. B- ut "JD2001" may not be filmed this year, right?" Is he afraid of the comparison bet- ween him and Tae? "No la, it's purely on time management. I've seen Tae before, in person, he does- n't look like me but on photos, there is some similarities between us." On the 28th Feb,he'll head for Shanghai to film HYNH, in the show, he'll act as a fair and just junior journalist and well- known Chinese act- ress, Chen Hong will act as a popular dance hostess in the 30s. They'll act as a couple althou- gh she is much old- er than him. The dir- ector, Huang Yi Go- ng, requested the first thing he will do when he reach Sha- nghai is to learn waltz, tango and so- me international so- cial dance so that he won't embarrass hi- mself while filming.
