Traffic

MACROTECH has grown consistently since 1999 when the site was first launched on a free internet hosting service. Today, we serve anywhere from 500 to 1000 page views on an average day, with daily traffic spikes becoming more frequent. We serve around 5-10 unique visitors on an average day.

Banner Advertising

We do our best to provide maximum exposure to your product while offering maximum flexibility when it comes to banner locations, sizes and scheduling. The site is divided into major sections:

• Homepage
  Provides maximum visibility and is the site's most visible page.
• Channels
  The bulk of the content of MACROTECH is divided into channels, each channel representing a major type of hardware for the personal computer.
• Community Forum
  MACROTECH has a large community of followers, over 1,000 strong. While many more browse our forums just for information, many of our strongest supporters return daily to our forums to help others. The forum has become a major asset for MACROTECH.

We can arrange any mix of the above banner zones. We also do many campaign that run in rotation over the entire site, which means all of the regions above are covered. Our general target zones are:

• Run-of-site
• Run-of-Channel
  Target viewers interested in a particular area of hardware, such as memory or motherboards.
• Run-of-page
  Choose highly targeted audiences or target a specific tutorial
• Run-of-Forum
  Run your banner in our forum, thereby reaching our most dedicated viewers.

All pages have pre-set advertising slots at the top of the page, at the bottom of the page, in the top right corner and sidebar. We can also place banners in other locations. Just let us know what you have in mind.

We can accommodate most ad sizes and types, including 256-color GIFs (animated OK), JPG, or HTML, Javascript or Flash ads. We can run standard 468x60, square 125x125 and 120x600 skyscraper ads. In most cases, we can accommodate other sizes, but we will need to discuss this on a case by case basis.

All of our ad clients have the ability to log into our ad system 24/7 to check their statistics in real-time. Additionally, we can email you statistic reports on a time interval convenient for you. If you find that a particular ad creative is not performing very well, you can change your banner mid-campaign (subject to terms). We can schedule banner runs at certain times as well as specify other criteria.

Rates

Our advertising rates are quite reasonable as we are trying to make this available to businesses, whether they be new or established. We understand that some companies are trying to get the word out, but do not have huge budgets for advertising. Plus, we find that the best thing for businesses to do when the economy is slowing (as they say it is) is to advertise. Ourselves being in this business for awhile, we find it quite counter-intuitive for a business to shrink its advertising budget when business is slow. The exact opposite should be done! When business is slow, you promote! And when business is good, promote some more! This will help ensure continued success regardless of anyone else in the business. The amount of income, we find, is directly proportional to the amount of out-flowing communications you send out, and this means getting your message in front of thousands. We can help you with this.

We prefer to run advertising campaigns on a monthly basis for a flat monthly rate, but we also do CPM-based advertising (cost per thousand impressions).
