Story Behind Back to the Future
Marty McFly helps out his friend Doc Brown, and ends up being taken back in time by Doc's time-machine. Marty, a boy of the 80's, has to come to grips with being in the 50's and get his parents to fall in love to set straight the damage his presence has done to the events of the past.

Trivia in Back to the Future
The time machine has been through several variations. In the first draft of the screenplay the time machine was a laser device that was housed in a room. At the end of the first draft the device was attached to a refrigerator and taken to an atomic bomb test. In the third draft of the film the time machine was a DeLorean, but in order to send Marty back to the future the vehicle had to drive the DeLorean into an atomic bomb test.
The DeLorean Time Machine has "Good Year" tires .
The "Mr. Fusion Home Energy Converter", which is sitting on the DeLorean when Doc returns from the future, is made from (among other things) a Krups coffee grinder. (Other Triva) (back to top)
Bloopers in Back to the Future
- The odometer on the DeLorean shows that the 1955 scenes were filmed before the initial scene in 1985 when the DeLorean goes back in time. The odometer reads lower in 1985 at the beginning than it does at the end in 1955.
- When the DeLorean goes 1 minute into the future, the fire goes between Doc's legs but when the camera switches angles, it no longer does.
- When Marty is escaping from the Libyans, the time circuit is already on when he moves his hand from the ignition to the gearshift. But when he shifts the second time, the time circuit seems to be off until he bumps its power switch.
- The scarecrow that Marty hits flips over the Delorean twice.
- The Seeburg remote-selection wall boxes seen in the diner are incompatible with the Wurlitzer 1015 juke box.
