The Family Herald Newsletter

Please click on the links below to download copies of our occasional genealogical newsletter, The Family Herald. Inspired by the newspaper of old so enjoyed by the generations before us, especially in the agricultural districts, The Family Herald is a way for us to publish our genealogical findings for all to see.

The inspiration for this publication came from Don Glendenning's newsletter, The Family Chronicle, which can be accessed on the web. Don's publication is posted from time to time as well, so continue to watch it for interesting items regarding the history of Black River and its rich culture.

Our publication also provides, we hope, some insight into the lives of some of Miramichi, New Brunswick's early settlers. The issues up to now focus mainly on the families of Napan, Black River Bridge, and Loggieville, N.B., but future issues will almost certainly expand to the rest of the region.
