Institute for Economic Excellence

Vision Statement

The Institute for Economic Excellence will be an effective and recognized contributor to a brighter economic future for the community by assisting in:

· Identifying, coordinating, and exploring the assets and strengths of the University as it works with business and other developmental agencies in the region;

· Serving as a liaison between the business community, the faculty, staff, and students of Shepherd University, and organizations such as the Gateway New Economy Council;

· Organizing projects and maintaining programs that deepen the strengths of faculty and economic infrastructure of the region; and

· Providing effective assistance to the region to aid in community planning efforts.
