| Act I Scene 2 Summary: Duncan is the king. And Duncan also orders the MACBETH gets a new title. |

| Act I Scene 3 Summary: With a clap of thunder, the witches reappear. They encounter MACBETH and Banquo as the two soldiers ride from the battlefield. The sisters make three prophecies, the first two regarding MACBETH and the last regarding Banquo. MACBETH shall be named as Thane of Cawdor and then king; Banquo, although he shall not himself rule in Scotland, will be father to future generations of kings. Immediately, the Witches vanish into thin air, leaving the two captains in amazement. The Witches' first prophecy has come true. |

| Act I Scene 4 Summary: In the palace court room, King Duncan receives the news of the execution of Cawdor and delivers formal thanks to MACBETH and Banquo for their part in the battle. Then, to the private astonishment of MACBETH, Duncan announces that his successor as king, whenever that may be, will be his son Malcolm. |
| Act I Scene 5 Summary: At MACBETH's home, the castle of Inverness, Lady Macbeth reads a letter from her husband concerning his meeting with the Witches. She is immediately awear of the sign and the words that the witches are telling them about the king, and why the kings is stoping at MACBETH'S castle. And now MACBETH and Lady Macbeth have to figure out if they are going to kill the king. And Lady Macbeth makes the plans. |

| Act I Scene 6 Summary: The king and this men arrive at MACBETH'S castle. The king and Lady Macbeth exchange hello's with each other. |
| Act I Scene 7 Summary: MACBETH now thinks about the idea of killing the king. But he thinks about how if caught he will not be able to be king. And what would Lady Macbeth think. |
