    Final Fantasy 10 Secrets
    Celestial Weapons
Choose which character's celestial weapon you would like to find, or select Celestial Mirror to find out how to get ready to receive the weapons:

  • The Celestial Mirror:

The Celestial Mirror is an adapted version of the Cloudy Mirror, transformed using a glowing rock in Macalania forest. You'll find this rock in the same place as you find the small boy when you are re-uniting the family near the forest entrance.

To get the cloudy mirror you need to go to the Calm Lands and train a chocobo. Once you have passed the first test, you can jump on the chocobo feather (found in the South East of the Calm Lands) up to the Remiem temple. Once at the Remiem temple, you must win the chocobo race to gain different items, including the cloudy mirror.

Once you have converted the cloudy mirror into the celestial mirror, you will be able to obtain the celestial weapons. However, at first, the weapons only have the "No AP" ability. For the weapons to work properly, you will also need a crest and a sigil to go with them. When the weapon is working perfectly, it has superb abilities such as "Break Damage Limit", "Triple Overdrive" and depending on the character, others such as "Double AP", "One MP Cost" and various "Counter" moves.

  • Tidus - Caladbolg:

After succesfully winning a race against the chocobo trainer, the guard at the north of the calm lands will move over to talk to you. This is your opportunity to go down the slope and grab the weapon.

  • Tidus - Sun Crest:

After defeating Yunalesca, go down the stairs at the back to open a chest containing the crest. Its best to do this as early as possible because later on you may face Dark Bahamut.

  • Tidus - Sun Sigil:

To get the sigil, you must win the chocobo race against the trainer in a time of 0.0 seconds. This means you will have to collect plenty of balloons to keep your time down.

  • Wakka - World Champion:

Simply return to the bar in Luca, and if you have placed third or higher in a League or Tournament, you will be presented with the World Champion.

  • Wakka - Jupiter Crest:

This is found in the locker room of the Aurochs back in Luca.

  • Wakka - Jupiter Sigil:

A little time consuming, but well worth it thanks to the superb attack reels. Once you have won a few blitzball Leagues and Tournaments you will obtain Wakka's overdrive modes such as status reels. Once you have the aurochs reels, at the end of the current League you have a 50/50 chance of getting the Jupiter Sigil as the prize in the next League (so its worth saving just before the end).

  • Auron - Masamune:

Find the rusty sword at the bottom of the gorge near the sunken cave, and take it to the statue of Lord Mi'ihen to create the weapon.

  • Auron - Mars Crest:

    Found on the Mi'ihen Highroad.

  • Auron - Mars Sigil:

When you catch all monsters in a certain area, or catch all monsters in a certain species a new monster will be created at the monster arena. After creating ten of these, you will be awarded the sigil.

  • Yuna - Nirvana:

After catching all the enemies in the Calm Lands area, a chest will appear next to the monster arena, containing the weapon.

  • Yuna - Moon Crest:

This crest is found on Besaid Island Beach just to the right of the entrance to the forest, and may require a very short swim.

  • Yuna - Moon Sigil:

To obtain the sigil, you must defeat all of Belgermines Aeons in the Remiem Temple (which means you yourself must have all eight) and then send Belgermine to the Farplane.

  • Kimahri - Spirit Lance:

Press square next to all three Qactuar stones on the Thunder Plains. Then follow the Qactuar ghost that appears as far as the broken lightning pillar. Press square here again to receive the weapon.

  • Kimahri - Saturn Crest:

This is found at the top of Mount Gagazet between the pillars just beyond the point where you must fight Seymour.

  • Kimahri - Saturn Sigil:

Complete both the butterfly hunts in the Macalanie forest after getting the use of the airship.

    Top

  • Lulu - Onion Knight:

This is found in the underwater ruins at the Baaj Temple (after defeating Geosgaeno).

  • Lulu - Venus Crest:

Revisit the Farplane at Guadosalam and open the chest.

  • Lulu - Venus Sigil:

On the Thunder Plains, dodge 200 lightning strikes in a row without touching a save point and then collect the sigil from the chest outside the travel agency.

    Top

  • Rikku - Godhand:

After typing in "GODHAND" at the password entry screen aboard the airship, you can go to the Mushroom Rock Road, where you will find a chest containing the weapon.

  • Rikku - Mercury Crest:

Found in a chest on the western edge of the Sanubia desert.

  • Rikku - Mercury Sigil:

Complete the valley of the cactuars mystery (practically a game of hide and seek with a load of cactuars) to get the sigil. Approach the cactuar stone to the south of the sandstorm, and follow the clues to find each cactuar. When you find them, you must sneak up on each when they have their backs turned, and if you reach them within the time limit, fight them to gain their sphere. Once you have all 10, you can get into the cactuar village to get the sigil.
