| Hello, and welcome to my gallery! My name is Maria Louise Moore, and I am an artist based in East Anglia. I live on the Essex/Suffolk border, not far from 'Constable Country', with my husband, two children and two cats! My main area of work is currently that of encaustic wax art, but I also use other media such as watercolours, oils and pastels. You can view all of these in the galleries. My work has been varied over the past few years, from painting covers for CDs (see the links page to find Marc Carlton's work) to painting vast canvases for exhibiting. Now I concentrate mainly on encaustics, which I love! Although I regularly exhibit my work in various shows throughout the year, I created this gallery in order that many other people can see and buy my paintings more easily. Most of the paintings in the gallery are for sale as originals or as prints. A list of forthoming exhibitions and craft fairs is also included on this site. Each painting is listed with a price, either framed or unframed, and there is a page with details of how to place an order. I am unable to send glazed frames overseas so any watercolours, pastels or encaustic art for overseas customers will be sold mounted only, ready to frame. There will be a reduced price (which will be given on request) for unframed pictures and prints. All oil paintings will be sold framed (unglazed) to worldwide buyers.. Limited edition numbered prints are also available. Please refer the Prints and Other Stuff page for further details. As well as the listed pictures, I also take commissions, so please feel free to ask! All of my artwork is copyright, so please do not copy or use in any way, shape or form without my permission. | September 2002 Autumn is fast approaching and the summer exhibitions are slowly winding down. Just two more scheduled at present. With the festive season not far off I am now promoting my works that are available as prints, cards and calendars, which can all be purchased from Redbubble at very reasonable prices. I am particularly pleased with the calendars. There are currently three different ones to choose from and they really do look stunning and make great xmas gifts! So if you'd like to know more about them, just click on the links above, I have posted some images on this site, but you can get a more detailed view of each calendar on my Redbubble site, which also has a link on this page. As I mentioned last time, I'm sure many people reading this will have heard that Yahoo is closing down it's Geocities website service in October 2009. I just wanted to reassure vistors to The Black Cat Gallery that I have no intention of going anywhere, and that once Yahoo has made it's changes, this site and everything in it should remain the same! Should any changes have to be implimented (new URL for example) I will notify everyone who has signed my guestbook or emailed me regarding this. So if you want to be on that list and you haven't done so, please visit my guestbook or alternatively email me and I will make sure you get to hear of any such changes. Encaustic Now!
