April 20, 2001 - Woodgate

Marghe's frustration with real estate shopping in Tannum Sands/Boyne Island sent us searching for our "nest" in the Bundaberg region of the Capricorn Coast. We stopped at the Tourist Information booth in Gin Gin, about half-way there. We were told to check out Woodgate and Coral Cove. So first on our stop on this trip was Woodgate.

There is a beautiful, long sandy beach at Woodgate. These were taken on Sunday, showing the crowds of people on the beach.

If you would like to 'spin' in the sand and see the entire 360 degree pan, go to GatherRound and visit our Aussie Panorama page.THIS FEATURE NO LONGER WORKS, AS GATHERROUND WENT OUT OF BUSINESS. BE PATIENT WHILE WE RESTORE ALL THE HUNDREDS OF THIS AND SIMILAR PHOTOS AND PANORAMAS ELSEWHERE. (SORRY)
After driving the full length of the beach, between two National Parks, we had lunch. Lunch at Woodgate This was our view from our lunch-table. Woodgate lunch view
This is a picture of Marghe holding a Ulysses butterfly, that decided to share lunch with us. Marghe held a live Ulysses Woodgate is virtually undeveloped, so way too small for even Marghe. So, from Woodgate we drove to Bargara We found what we were looking for later at Coral Cove.
