Maximilian Leigh Johnson (Max to us all) was born August 7, 1997. Weighing in at 8 pounds, 1 ounce, he was a big baby with a heart problem that almost cost him his life. With the help of a truly great doctor, and a lot of love from his family, he survived. Today, Max lives up to his name. He is a big, strapping boy who has a sunny disposition and a very inquisitive mind. He has a natural affinity for sports. The doctors say the only sport he should not play football.

Charlotte Rose Johnson (affectionately known as Charly) was born June 25, 1998. She was a ladylike 7 pounds, 7 ounces. Her family immediately nicknamed her "Charly". Charly, like her brother, is a sunny, happy child with a very inquisitive mind. Because they are just one year apart, they are playmates, but Max is obviously the protector.

Sydney is the daughter of Karin by a previous marriage. Sidney was born on August 7, 1990, and she shares her birthday with Max. Sydney's father is French and is the concierge of the Ritz Carleton Hotel in Pasadena (the historic Huntington Sheraton). Sydney is fortunate to make frequent trips to France to see her paternal grandparents; as a result, Sydney is bilingual. Sydney is truly the big sister in this family. She loves Max and Charlotte very much and they love her.
