Genome: single-strand RNA, positive polarity

 

 

Fecal-oral

 

Virus is excreted in feces for only up to 72h

Incubation period: 24-48hr

 

Abdominal cramps


Vomiting

 

 

Detected by EM of stools.

 

PCR is now used to detect SRSV RNA in stools.

 

Do not grow in cell culture.
