Rear Axle Restoration
Before...
...Cleaned...
...and Painted.
After a thorough cleaning with detergent, brush, and brake cleaner, the axle still had a few of its original assembly-line marks!  I took pictures, then painted over them as this is not exactly a "frame-off" restoration.

The axle tubes and center section cover plate are painted with Eastwood's "Spray Gray" meant to approximate the look of cast aluminum or raw steel.  The center section was painted with Eastwood's "Detail Gray" meant to approximate the look of cast iron.  The brake backing plates were painted with Duplicolor Acrylic Gloss Black.
