| There is so much to see and do for kids at Wonderland. There are two huge kids areas. In Hanna-Barbera Land there are attractions themed to classic Hanna-Barbera cartoons like the Flintstones, Jetsons and Scooby-Doo. There are about 10 rides in this kiddie area. New for 2000 in Hanna-Barbera Land was Scooby-Doo's Haunted Mansion. This is an interactive dark ride for kids up to 60" tall. You ride around in a car and zap ghosts with your ghost zappers and collect scooby-snacks (points). Other rides in Hanna-Barbera Land include: Hanna-Barberry-Go-Round (carousel), Boulder Bumpers (bumper cars), Flintstone Flyboys (up, up and away balloons) and Ghoster Coaster (junior wooden coaster). Another kiddie area is KidZville. This area was new for 1998. KidZville's attractions are themed to candy and good old kids fun. There are about a dozen rides in this kiddie area. The rides in KidZville include: The Candy Factory (kids playground), Chopper Chase (helicopter monerail), A-Mazing Adventure (maze) and Taxi Jam (kids steel coaster). There are many rides that kids and adults can ride together in both areas. And the last kiddie area, Zoom Zone, which was new for 2001, is located in Kidzville and features three new attractions for kids: Silver Streak, a Vekoma suspended junior roller coaster, the only one in the world featuring a helix, Blast off, a minature version of Drop Zone, and Jumpin Jet, a crazy bus type ride. Swan Lake Description: Take a leisurely boat ride at Swan Lake, while surrounded by the Park's scenery. Rating: Height Requirement: Average Wait Time: Rocketport Description: At Rocketport kids sit in miniature rocket ships and can pretend to be junior astronauts as their rockets move up and down in the sky. Rating: Height Requirement: Average Wait Time: Aerofield Description: At Aerofield, kids climb onboard a colourful model airplane and experience the exhilarating feeling of gliding through the sky going around a few times before coming back to the ground. Rating: Height Requirement: Average Wait Time: Hanna-Barberry-Go-Round Description: Hanna-Barberry-Go-Round is playfully themed with Hanna-Barbera cartoon characters instead of the traditional horses, including Scooby-Doo, Dino, Fred Flintstone and Yogi Bear. Rating: Height Requirement: Average Wait Time: Flintstone Flyboys Description: The Flintstone Flyboys takes riders on a Bedrock adventure, spinning high above the ground in an imitation giant prehistoric egg. Rating: Height Requirement: Average Wait Time: Scooby-Doo's Haunted Mansion Description: Kids can meet up with Scooby-Doo and the rest of the Mystery Inc at Scooby-Doo's Haunted Mansion, an interactive dark ride. Guests can chase ghosts, collect Scooby Snacks and unravel a bewitching case of ghostly deeds and hair-raising suspence. Your travel around in Scooby-Doo themed cars on a track and using "guns" you shoot the ghosts and other characters and receive your point value at the end of the ride. Rating: Height Requirement: Average Wait Time: Hot Rock Raceway Description: Children cna drive their very own mini go-kart at Hot Rock Raceway. Drivers can race along the curvy track trying to make it to the finish line ahead of their opponents. Rating: Height Requirement: Average Wait Time: Boulder Bumpers Description: Drivers and passengers will need to team up to bump over drivers, while they avoid getting bumped by opponents themselves. This ride is like a junior version of the regular bumber cars (krachenwagen). Rating: Height Requirement: Average Wait Time: Ghoster Coaster Description: The Ghoster Coaster is a children's wooden coaster. It's a serpentine track takes young riders over many drops, camel humps and snappy banked curves. Rating: 8/10 Height Requirement: 44" tall or accompanied by an adult Average Wait Time: The Candy Factory Description: The Candy Factory is a large playground for children to play around in with different foam objects and many slides, tunnels, lookouts, swings, monkey bars, ladders, a balls pen and many other activities found in playgrounds. Rating: Height Requirement: Average Wait Time: Kidzville Station Description: At Kidzville Station, children can pretend to be a conductor of their very own antique train as they go around a small track in Kidzville. Rating: Height Requirement: Average Wait Time: Taxi Jam Description: Taxi Jam is a steel coaster for kids, designed to be their first coaster at the Park. The themed train features yellow taxi cabs being chased by a police car. Rating: 6.5/10 Height Requirement: Average Wait Time: Flavourator Description: The Flavourator spins riders into a twirling frenzy of rotating colours. Riders can control how fast they go and how dizzy they get. Rating: Height Requirement: Average Wait Time: Frequent Flyers Description: On Frequent Flyers, kids can soar through the air in a miniature hot air balloon. Rating: Height Requirement: Average Wait Time: Jokey's Jalopies Description: Basic old-fashioned antique cars that are gas powered. You wind through the scenic landscape of Kidzville and allow the children to pretend that they can drive. The maximum speed for the cars is 5mph. The course of the track is farely long. Rating: 6/10 Height Requirement: 40"& over (36" & over must be accompanied by an adult) Average Wait Time: Chopper Chase Description: Chopper Chase is a helicopter monorail where kids and adults can either sit back and enjoy the ride or go faster around the track by pedaling. The meandering track offers an elevated view of the entire Kidzville funscape. Rating: Height Requirement: Average Wait Time: Swedish Berries Bounce Description: Rating: Height Requirement: Average Wait Time: SwingTime Description: SwingTime takes young riders soaring above the ground on high-flying suspened wings a few times before returning to the ground. Rating: Height Requirement: Average Wait Time: A-Mazing Adventure Description: Rating: Height Requirment: Average Wait Time: Silver Streak Description: Silver Streak is Canada's first inverted junior coaster with a helix. Young thrill seekers will dive, wind and swoop through its suspended, zigzagged track. The rides starts off by climbing up the lift hill before dropping slowly into a spiral that goes up again and drops througha sharp, intense helix before turning again very close to the ground and coming to a crawl into the brake run before coming back into the station. Rating: Height Requirement: Average Wait Time: Jumpin' Jet Description: Kids will be lifted high above Zoom Zone sitting five across in a row. They wil be bounced up and down a few times before coming back to the ground. Jumpin' Jet is like a Drop Zone for little ones. Rating: Height Requirement: Average Wait Time: Blast Off Description: On Blast Off kids sit in a large "rocket ship" and move up and back down in a circular motion a couple of times and then they come back to the ground.
