You enter the line through a queue area surrounded in a lot of bush and cross a bridge where you can see boats leaving the loading area. Eventually you reach the station house which has a roof that covers everything. Once you reach the large, rotating wooden platform you are counted into a group of six and this is where you remove any bags, etc. Next you board one of the rafts each with six seats facing the centre. From here you are gently lowered into the large water area below where the ride takes place. You will come up to the first rapids and then enjoy a placid ride before a geyser suddenly blasts into the air and sprays the raft. After this you reach another set of rapids as the ride begins to go faster and the raft will start to rotate in all directions with water soaking you from all around. You will then approach an area with a geyser behind the rocks that will splash you if someone up above on the entrance path pays a dollar and presses a button. Then you turn the corner as you come up to a dark tunnel with water that will splash down on you from above. The raft will be soaked as a waterfall showers over. Before the ride finishes you are subjected to even more rapids and a geyser until you reach the lift that will bring you back up to the station loading house. Rating: 7/10 |
White Water Canyon is a fun ride located at the back of the Park near the Action F/X Theatre, surrounded by lots of trees in a forest area that will keep you cool. It's also a great ride to cool off with in the summer heat. It's the wettest ride in the park. |
Colours: The rafts are a natural brown colour with rubber below. Best Seats: Regardless where you sit you will get soaked because the rides continually spin throughout the ride. A few riders will randomly get extra wet in the tunnel and waterfall though, due to the constant rotation. Queue Line Wait Time: The wait is usually about 30 minutes to 1 hours, however on hot days when the park is packed during the summer, the wait can be up to 2 hours. |
