Cliffhanger has different ride programs, some with water and some without so the ride will differ each time you ride it. The ride starts off with the gondolas moving in a forward direction until you are up ontop 15m (50ft) above the ground. Then the gondola closes in place so it doesn't spin as it moves downward. The gondolas now go faster as they revolve around to the top again and this time flip and spin a few times before they come down into the water jets down below. The gondolas now slow down and move back into their original place. The gondolas move forward once again back into the water jets and then up as they flip again before they revolve back around to the ground before they stop. Rating: 8.5/10 |
New for 2000, PCW added Cliffhanger for the 20th anniversary season. Cliffhanger was billed as a super swing with attitude and was the park's first Mondial ride. The ride is themed to the movie of the same name and is painted yellow, grey and blue. Cliffhanger is a combination pendulum and flipping ride that will turn you upside down and maybe even get you wet. |
Cliffhanger took the place of the old Dragon Fire queue lines. Colours: The poles are yellow, the arms are grey, the gondolas are an alternation of yewllow and grey and the background is blue. Best Seats: You should sit in the back for the best view in the air. Queue Line Wait Time: The wait is about 15 to 20 minutes. |
