Well the recent Beanie Making workshop held at the Tweed River Regional Art Gallery in conjunction with the 'COLOURS OF THE COUNTRY' exhibition, went well. Those people who mananged to get there with the floods causing havoc, have now joined the ranks of addicted crocheters. I have been talking with Lesley Gail from Escape Gallery in Murwillumbah, and will be running some workshops thru their new arts venue soon to open in the old Sunrise Motors building behind. The workshops will be to inspire and teach you to create some stunning headwear suitable to enter in the 2008 International Beanie Competion held at the Alice Springs Beanie Festival just after mid-winter. Each will be a one day workshop 10am- 5pm Dates at this stage are Fri.15th Feb. Sun.2nd March, Mon.14th April, Sun.18th May, & Wed.4th June, but could be changed by management. The first and third ones maybe aimed at the total crochet beginner, but will be combined with into a multi-leveled class if numbers are below 5.
