| LEWIS SAMUEL (MENDEL (MENACHEM)2, SHMA'YE1) was born 1827 in Kingston upon Hull, Yorkshire, England, (No proof of this birth place) and died on the 10th May 1887 in Victoria, British Columbia, Canada. He married KATE SECKELMAN 1850 in Sycruse, New York, USA. She was born Abt. 1825 in Germany, and died on the 18th April 1904 in York, Ontario, Canada.
Lewis Samuel travelled to the USA in the 1840�s and lived in Syracuse, New York before moving onto Toronto, Canada where he and his brother Mark Samuel opened their Hardware business �M & L Samuel� in 1855. The business has been passed down in the family and is still operating today.
