Adelaide Marks - Daughter - 22 years - Born in Swansea, Wales . Mark Marks - Son - 20 years - Born in Swansea, Wales. Rebecca Marks - Daughter - 15 years - Born in Swansea, Wales. Children of HANNAH SAMUEL and HARRIS MARKS: ADELAIDE MARKS, Born about 1839, Swansea, Wales. I found her in the 1871-1891 UK censuses. Adelaide Freedman born about 1840 in Swansea, Wales. She was in the 'Broadmoor Criminal Lunatic Asylum', Sandhurst, East Hampstead, Berkshire, England from 1871-1891. I can't find the Asylum listed in the 1901 census but i presume she was still there because she died in East Hampstead in the June Quarter of 1912 age 72 years. The census images for the asylum list the husbands� occupation next to the inmates� name. In 1871 it says Adelaide Freedman 'Tailors wife', but in the 1881 & 91 census it gives 'Not Known'. I found a marriage for a Morris Freedman to an Anna Marks in Newcastle Tyne in the March Quarter of 1863. I can't be sure this is their marriage but the year sounds about right. If they were married in a synagogue then their marriage may not be on �free bdm� where I got this one. I suspect Morris Freedman may have taken off after Adelaide was put in the asylum because he is not on the 1871 census or any other later census records that I can see.
