She was huddled in her bed as if she was afraid of something. �A monster under the bed.� Kira turned around and found Sanza whispering in her ear. �What?� �Tess believes that there�s a monster under her bed.� �How come no one told her that there�s nothing to be afraid of?� �We all have. She doesn�t believe us.� �Do you believe that there�s a monster under her bed?� �I�ll show you what I believe in.� Sanza smiled widely as he showed Kira to his room. �Krisa, Davie, Puck� he called these names and right away lights swirled about the room. �They�ve told me so much about where they used to reside.� Kira looked into his eyes and felt as if time itself stopped. For the fleeting moment she was truly happy for the first time since her mom died. The lights died. �Come on you guys mom has a game in mind for us.� Piper walked in, grabbed their arms and dragged them to the conservatory. Kira heard sobbing in the middle of the night. She followed it to Tess�s room. �Don�t be scared� she said �But it�s scary!� �I think he just wants to have a friend to play with. It doesn�t matter, any game you want. All you have to do is give him a name.� �Really any name, any game I want� �Really!� Kira left her with a smile on her face that night. When Kira left in the morning, Tess and her monster were having a tea party. |
