| Is there anything I can do for her doctor? The man leaned in, his sweet yet aging face looked even more wrinkled in the shaded light. She refuses to let go of these childhood fantasies. Maybe if you put her around other kids her own age. Living all the way out where you do and with her mother gone at such a young age, its no wonder she prefers these imaginary friends. His white overcoat swayed with his hand movements. The thirteen-year-old just outside the door paid close attention to the shadows of the coat the body language of the two aristocratic gentlemen. Her wish was that she could read their chapped lips. Well there is a family moving in down the road. Theyve built a house on a vacant plot of land. The lovely couple has three kids, one of them a young girl about Kiras age. Maybe I can set up a slumber party for the girls. Agreed then. I will release the girl back to you. If you have any more trouble try to find an alternative way to deal with her fantasies. The white overcoat became full length. The soles of their shoes thudded on the wood floor. Kiras auburn hair vacillated; she wondered what would become of her now as she looked back at the doctor. She was leaving the home that she had known for the past year, and returning to the home she used to live in. She would soon find out it had been changed in ways she could not guess. Old dolls sat quietly on the dressers that are lining the walls. The moon shone brightly. Which made the white blanket covering the slumbering room aesthetically translucent. Your room is how you left it. Ive setup a slumber party for you with the family down the road tomorrow. Get some sleep and mind your manners, good night. Nothing more was said and his footsteps were like thunder as he walked away leaving Kira to wake up her old room. Hello, Krisa, Davie, Puck, anybody! The room remained silent and still. Her fair folk did not answer her called. Sighing, she climbed into her bed only to inhale dust. Im sorry your dad told me your name, but A middle-aged woman gestured to Kira. Kira, madam! Ah, Kira, this is our eldest girl, Piper Her cheery face gleamed with joy as she spoke about her child. It was a feeling that Kira missed, the love of a mother. Ill show you where youre going to sleep. Piper showed Kira to her room where there was an air mattress laid out for her. Pipers room looked bare. Sorry, I havent had time to decorate yet. Looks quaint. I like it. What do you like to do for fun? I play the violin and I like to roller blade, but there arent any good places here. Yeah, youll find things to do out here though. Kira was going to say something else, but a knock came to the door. An exquisite young man walked in. |
