Singapore trip - fun and stuff!
My first time to go on a holiday without my parents. Only my sister and I. Some accounts...
November 3rd - Flew to Kuching, then Johore. Reached Johore about 4pm. Rushed to buy bus ticket to get down to Singapore. At the immigration, we were stopped and brought to the office. Really scared, thought we couldn't get into Singapore, but everything was okay after that. We missed the bus though... but it was okay because we have reached Singapore after all. Ate dinner at Clementi, then walked around there.
November 4th - Went to Mandarin Hotel for lunch. Kinda exquisite type of place. All rich-looking. Buffet costs more than $40 for one. Later on, went for a really quick-flash-shopping at Takashimaya. Zoomed here, zoomed there and got in the car and went off. Then, went to Jurong Birdpark... kinda nice, after that shopped at Jurong Point and Clementi. There's where I bought my first chinese cd, which was at CDrama.
November 5th - Early morning, went to the Ministry of Education at Buona Vista for interview. Really, really nice! My poor sister had to wait for me for about 1 hour plus for my interview. Later, we walked back to my aunt's place. Stopped by to eat laksa. After that, went to IMM by taxi. So expensive! From IMM, we used the free shuttle service to a MRT station. When we reached the MRT, found out that there's a Jurong Entertainment Centre there. Went there and saw many students hanging out there. Later, got back. At night, we went to watch movie 'Legally Blond' at West Mall. There's even a community library in that shopping complex. Cool!
November 6th - Woke up.. nothing much, oh yeah, we went to Clementi by bus to shop for clothes. Giordano, Bossini, Hang Ten. The came back. Went to Jelita Cold Storage, very good! I love the stuff there. All imported ones. But extra expensive, that is! Night time, went to Sentosa, with cousin. Rode in the stimulator.. costed us Sing$ 20 plus. Then went to the House of Shadows... I was screaming all the time! Then went to see Images of Singapore- very interesting. Lastly, went to see the musical fountain show. Oh man.. very nice, even nicer than the one in Mines Wonderland. Went back quite late.
November 7th - Woke up. Couldn't afford to go out for breakfast because we were running out of money. I walked to Jelita Cold Storage to call my dad to send some more money, but he just practically ignored me. So 'kelian'. Didn't have much mood to go anywhere. Actually we planned to go to Orchard Road for shopping, but because of that, we had to cancel our plans. We were 2 lonely kids at my aunt's place. Then, my cousin called and asked to meet us at the Clementi. We went there by bus and met her. After that, she brought us to CityLink, an underground shopping complex. Very nice.. we spent such a long time lingering around at HMV to listen to songs. Next, we went to Suntec City and shopped there. Of course, we had no money already, so my cousin bought most of the things for us. She bought a shirt for me and 2 more for my sister. Really spent too much of her money!
November 8 - Woke up and didn't go anywhere because we had to go to Copthorne Orchid to take the bus down to Johore for our flight back. My aunt brought us there, and we just walked around the hotel. Then the bus took off, and we were on our way back to Malaysia. Arrived in Johore airport, and ate something at the A&W restaurant there. When we reached Kuching, we met with our friend, Tara who once was in Miri but moved to Kuching. She's in Johore now, by the way. She gave us muffins, and we drank and talked. Our flight back to Miri was around 8pm, if I'm not mistaken. Reached Miri and got back home. How nice!
