Life of being a single. What it is like.
Au Ka Chuen's narrative.
Au Ka Chuen: "Sleep occupies 1/3 of an average person's time. But an ordinary woman can easily occupies 1/2 of a man's time in his life. My name is Ah Chuen, Au Ka Chuen. I spend lots of my time collecting Coca-Cola cans and building models. At one look, it looks senseless and wasting time. But all of u don't have to worry about me.......as I have plenty of time. The reson is very simple....cause I don't have a girlfriend."
Taking a ride in a guy's car. Is it safe.
It was raining heavily. Paul saw a lady at the curb while he was driving in his car. He stopped the car.
Paul: "Let me give u a ride."
Yung looked around and saw no vehicles.
Next scene showed she was inside Paul's car.
Paul: "My name is Paul."
Yung: "U can call me Yung Yung. Would u lend me your phone?"
Paul: "Sure."
Yung (talking on the phone): "Hello? Auntie."
Yung (talking to Paul): May I have your ID card?"
Paul (seaching through his pockets for ID):
Yung (talking on the phone again): I am in the car of a guy."
Paul (gave Yung his ID):
Yung (talking to Paul): "Thank you."
Yung (talkin on the phone again): " His name is Lui Wai Sheung. ID no D547913.
U mark it down. His car no is GA631. That's right. I am on my way. Don't worry.
See u."
Yung (talking to Paul): Thank u.
Paul: "U are pretty cautious."
Yung (smilling): "Surely."
Next scene showed car broke down. Yung was trying to fix the engine. Paul looking out from the car.
Yung: "Try starting the engine."
Paul started the engine. OK, no problem. Yung came back into the car.
Paul: "Actually what is the car problem?"
Yung: " U haven't bring your car to service on time, I guess. The starter is dirty and the filter is blocked! And..... u won't understand. Forget it! What is the time now? I gonna be late."
Paul: " My home is just nearby."
Yung: "Are u living alone?"
Paul: "No. I am living with 2 friends."
Yung: "Is your sign Leo?"
Paul: "What?"
Yung: "I asked whether your sign is Leo or not?"
Paul: "How do u know that?"
Yung: "Well...intuition only. Hey....why don't u start your car. Move it. Hurry up."
Ties. What does it mean.
Yung: "Good morning."
Paul opening th door: "U are getting earlier everyday."
Yung: "No girls in here. Is it convenient? Am I bothering u? Wah, why is your room so dark? It's dark during day and night. The sun is so lovely out there."
Yung opening up the curtains.
Paul: " Hey, come on....does it need to be so shinny."
Yung cleaned up his room.
Paul: "Why are u so nice to me, tidying up my room?"
Yung: "Not only that. I have a prize for u too."
Paul: "So nice. What is this?"
Yung: "Why don't u open it and see."
Paul: "A tie. I don't wear ties."
Yung: "For my sake, wear it once please."
Paul: "Not that I don't want to wear. But it's because I don't know how to wear."
Yung: "Are u kidding? Who did for for u when u went to school?"
Paul: "Mum did it......and I never untie it."
Yung: "I see. Really? Let me try."
Yung went behind and helped him to wear the tie.
Paul: "Why are there so many little bears on the tie?"
Yung: "It's pretty."
Paul: "Actually, why u want me to wear a tie?"
Yung: "We are going for dinner."
Dolls inside a car. What does it mean.
Yung saw a car full of dolls.
Yung: " All the dwafs all here. So where is Snow White?"
Paul: "Maybe she felt they are too short and went looking for a tall guy."
Yung (laughing): "Crazy!"
Paul: " Frankly speaking, I am afaid of people putting so many dolls inside the car."
Yung: "Why?"
Paul: "Aren't they supposed to be in the room, why should they be in the car?"
Yung (seemed sad to hear that)
Paul: "U know. The dolls are small matters. But the message behind it is big. If a man let a woman puts dolls inside his car. That means h is totally being captured by the woman."
Yung: "That's crazy. Who said this?"
Paul: "Freud did."
Yung: "Oh...I see....like the dogs, looking for its territories to piss."
Paul (smilling): "Your metaphor is a bit stinky, but u got the point."
How to say "I love u."
Yung: "Why u stop the car? aren't we going somewhere?"
Paul: " I have something to........."
Yung: "Why are u wearing a tie?"
Paul: "U ....."
Yung: "I what?"
Paul: "I thought u like it."
Yung: " Does that mean if I like it, then u must wear a tie. Are u that nice to me now?"
Paul: "I bought something for u."
Yung: "I bought u a gift also. What a coincidence!"
Paul: "What is it?"
Yung: " Show me what u have for me first."
Paul (geting a doll from the passenger seat): " Tern tern........"
Yung: "No way! U gave me such a disgusting doll...eiiiii....with hair at the underarm."
Paul: "The hair is so long too."
Yung (smilling and laughing): "Thanks a lot."
Paul: "Can u put this doll in my car?"
Yung: " Why? But I really want to bring it with me."
Paul: " Where are going to?"
Young: "Back to Canada. I will leave in a few days."
Paul: "U didn't tell me before?"
Yung: "I plan to tell u tonight. Frankly speaking, I am afraid that I will fall in love with u if I stay longer with u."
Paul: "Then just stay with me."
Yung: "Do u like me?"
Paul nodded.
Yung: "I want u to say it."
Paul: "Yes, I like u."
Yung: "Then, that's enough. Do u understand? U like me now because u like me more than I like u. But when it comes the day that I like u, u won't like me as much as u do now. So since I like u now, I can't like u anymore. U are a Leo guy. A guy of Leo sign will easily fall in love with a girl. And get easily tired of her, And I am a Gemini girl. I don't like stable relationships. Basically, we are the same type of people. We love ourselves the most. Do u understand?"
Paul: "I don't."
Yung: "U go home and think about it."
Paul: "Can u stay back?"
Yung: "Why don't u come to Canada to accompany me?"
Paul (silent)
Yung (disappointed)
Yung: "I have something for u."
Yung (holding two dolls): This is M. This is E. Remember M. Remember E. Remember "M" "E"......means me. For u."
Paul: "Thanks."
Yung kissed Paul.
Yung: "U take good care of them. I'm going home. When I return, I'll watch football with u. Bye."
Paul: Bye.
