| I regret to inform you that Lycomia is no longer together as a band. A slew of events within the band, which occured from late January '04 to early March '04, led to the demise. We added a 2nd vocalist (Casey Bryant) to our line-up in late Secember of '03. We played our first REAL show January 24th at Piketon High School. Shortly before that, we recorded a demo, though it never got off the ground. Back to the subject, now. Guitarist T.J. and vocalist Steven were constantly butting heads due to personal differences and musical tastes. Steve was kicked out of Lycomia in February '04. Lycomia tried to go on as a 4-piece, composed of the 3 original members, (T.J., Andy, and myself) and new vocalist Casey Bryant. I received a call from Chris Burns (guitarist from fellow local band Abject Fear) asking me to jam. I obliged, and was asked by AF to do two shows with them since their drummer could not make the shows. I was more than happy to play with them. Since Lycomia did not work out as a 4-piece, T.J. and I pursued our own endeavors and re-formed our old band Slaughter Point. My occupation as a drummer in SP was also short-lived, due to schedule contradictions with AF. I decided I was better off working with AF as a fill-in dummer, so AF became my main band. I was kicked out of SP in late February '04 due to the fact that I no longer wanted to work with T.J., and the fact that AF was my main priority. I hold no bad blood against ex-members of Lycomia, I am still VERY good friends with Andy and Steve. I haven't communicated with T.J. since my teaming with AF. I sincerely apologize to everyone who was a loyal fan of Lycomia for these events. Some things were out of our hands, and we decided we would be better off doing what we feel would be best. Dustin |
