Poem E.D.
Back
There's a certain slant of light
Winter afternoons
That opress like the heft
Of cathedral tunes

       Chorus:
Heavenly Hurt, it gives to us
We can find no scar
But internal difference
Where the meanings are

None can teach it any
Tis the seal of dispair
An imperial afflication
Sent us to the air

        Chorus x 2
         Bridge:
When it comes, the landscape listens
Shadows hold their breath
When it goes, tis like the distance
On the look of death

   Chorus x 4

This song is actually a poem by Emily Dickenson, hence the name. The original poem was called, "There's a certain slant of light". Another notable thing about this song is that it only took Lycomia 1 try to write the riff for it.
