Fishermen in Auckland recently as last November caught a great white in a fishing net. Great White Sharks are one of our sacred animals. Then the white gave birth to 4 pups. 2 survived and swam away. Only 10 accounts of this being seen have been accounted for. There is no video of this recorded but it has been witnessed which is cool. CNN has some really awesome video of a great white. 2. Towards the end of her stay at the tank at Monterey she turned on her tank mates, another type of shark. They died from there wounds. She grew one foot. When release she swam 200m in 30 days. The Shark Fin. Shark Info: Great Whites are know to stick there head out of the water. Sharks can detect one part of blood in 100 million parts of water. The largest White caught on rod and reel was at Montauk Point, Long Island. Large teeth from the great white sharks ancestor have been found on the atlantic coastline. I believe there are still intermediate white sharks alive, a size between the giant ancient megalodon and todays whites that are usually seen buy observers. A little bit bigger than the one caught off of Montauk Point which is also evidence of such extremly large specimens. "Jaws" does exist. Whites are found in most temperate ocean waters.
