Aubrey was the son of Nathan James Tracy and 4th wife, Harriet Jane Sloan.  Aubrey enlisted in 1914 in the Regular Army during World War I and held the rank of Sgt. First Class, Co. "E" 55th Telegraph Br. S.C. He saw action in France and Germany, he was "gased with mustard gas".  He was honorablely discharged.  At the age of 29 he enlisted in the New York State Troopers, Troop "G".  The remarks when Aubrey was  discharged were, "Honest and Faithful Service"

            

                                                            

                                                             Herbert S. Tracy - age 18 years  

Herbert S. Tracy, oldest son of Nathan James Tracy and Harriet Jane Sloan.  Herbert enlisted as a Private in Co."I" of the 2nd Regiment of New York Volunteers in 1898 at 18 years old.  He served in the Spanish American War and died in Manila, Philippine Islands July 1899 on the last day of the war from a snipers bullet.
