On October 25th, Mommy and Daddy visited Kids on Campus, a daycare facility, to see if it will be the fun and happy place where Baby Girl will spend her days once Mommy has to go back to work in March 2005. Everything looked good, but they haven't yet decided whether to use a daycare facility or a private babysitter.
On October 27th, Mommy had another appointment with the doctor to make sure Baby Girl is growing like she should be and to make sure that Mommy is still really healthy. Mommy talked to the doctor about what aches and pains are normal at this time. For the most part, Baby Girl is going pretty easy on Mommy; however, Mommy's legs and hips are starting to get really stiff and sore when she lies down or stands for too long. Mommy's blood pressure was 120/82 and Mommy gained 6 lbs since the last visit for a total of 35 lbs?
Baby Girl is a busy little girl inside Mommy's belly. She's almost most always dancing around and kicking. Daddy's confident that she's going to be a "Thai Chi" master by the time she's born!
Mommy had her flu shot on November 2nd so that she won't get the flu while still pregnant with Baby Girl. Also, Baby Girl will be immune to the flu when she's born in January!
Mommy and Daddy started really working hard on Baby Girl's room to make sure it's as beautiful as it can be for her. Daddy painted the room with Winnie-the-Pooh colors: Butterfly Flutter By and Skipping Stones. Then Mommy and Daddy put the crib and the dresser in the room as well as the glider-rocker that they'll be sure to spend a lot of time in once Baby Girl arrives. They're having lots of fun with stencils and decorating.
On November 10th, Mommy had an appointment with Dr. Hawn. She gained 2 lbs, for a total of 37 lbs so far. Her blood pressure was 102/72, which is good. The doctor decided to order a Non-Stress test as Mommy had mentioned that Baby Girl wasn't moving as much as she used to. Everything was okay and it turns out that Baby Girl does move a whole bunch; Mommy just can't feel all of the movements.
On November 11th, Mommy & Daddy went to Little Learner's Daycare in Harrisburg to register for March 2005. They had visited there the week before and found it was the best place for Baby Girl when Mommy had to go back to work. The nice thing is that the facility is only 5 minutes from Mommy's work, so she's close enough to visit at lunch if she wants to. |
