The
Players
Ok, here is descriptive list of the players old and new, as
far as I can remember. Sorry if I've missed anybody out.
|

|
|
Luong |
Midfield
(right wing) |
Luong is adept in most
aspects of play. He is a skilled passer and
crosser of the ball and also has good vision.
He has excellent acceleration and pace and a
determined work rate. When on form, he is a
truly valuable player. He is cool. |
|
|

|
| Be |
Defense
(central) |
Be is an amazingly solid
defender. Very committed, he allows
little to get past him. His strength and
dedication sets an example for all.
Sliding, pushing and pulling are among
his repertoire of defensive techniques.
Be is infinitely more reliable than a
brand spanking new Volvo. |
|
|

|
| Minh |
Striker |
Minh is an all out striker.
He possesses awesome pace and a good finish
which allows him to score so frequently.
Slotting the ball through to this very vocal
player will almost guarantee a goal. An
essential player who is also very committed.
A firm favourite of Andrew Tse. |
|
|

|
| James |
Midfield
/Forward |
James is a regular and still
only fifteen years old. He is probably
the most skillful in the current team
and is still improving. His passing and
shooting skills should also be
commended. Already a very good player,
James can only get better. His biggest
fault is his choice of wardrobe. |
|
|

|
| Yan |
Defense |
Yan is James's dad, and is
still a worthy regular. what he lacks in
pace, he more than makes up for with his
tough tackling. Yan often makes
important tackles and is fairly strong
on the ball. |
|
|

|
| Jonny Yau |
Goal
/Defense |
Jonathan is another young
pre-A-level player. He is however a
brilliant goal keeper and still
improving. He has quick reactions and
guards our goal very bravely and
intelligently. He sometimes also plays
in a defensive role and there is a good
tackler. Jonny is one of several
core players. |
|
|

|
| Dickson |
Midfield
/Forward |
Imaginatively codenamed,
'Dick', Dickson is a rapidly improving
player. Since arriving from the East, he
has become stronger, faster and more
aggressive. Like the rest of us, he is a
very keen player and has become a
regular. |
|
|

|
| Lion |
Midfield
(left wing) |
Lion is so-called because of
his king of the jungle style mane. Like
Dickson, Lion is also rapidly improving.
He is noticeably stronger and more
aggressive than his former self.
Unfortunately, the Lion has suffered a
terrible injury and has been out of
action for a while. |
|
|

|
| Joe |
Defense |
Joe is another favourite of
Andrew's. His defensive prowess has
improved a lot since playing in England.
Once motivated, Joe is capable of making
hard and persistent tackles. Joe is
rumoured to be a bit of a ladies man, as
opposed to Andrew who is more of a lady boy. |
|
|
|
| Ko |
Midfield |
Ko is famous for his deadly
tackles. He is also strong and
aggressive, always being more than
willing to fight for the ball. Ko is a
fairly new member but has shown a high
level of commitment and potential. |
|
|

|
| Jason Yu |
Anywhere |
Jason is a Royston batty. He
is lazy and collecting fat. When he does
play, he shows strength, determination,
some skill and plenty of sliding. A
capable but very lazy player, Jason
enjoys nothing more than eating and
using stupid vocabulary. |
|
|

|
| Jason Wong |
Midfield |
Jason is an irregular player
because he lives in Ely. However, he is
skillful, strong and resilient. I hope
to incorporate Jason into the team soon
as he will be a very useful player. |
|
|
|
| Lau |
Defense/Bench
(right back) |
Lau is a traitorous Hongky. He is
a weirdo who likes to wear pink long Johns. He has Ok pace and Ok strength.
He does slide and foul players often but
takes poor free kicks. His long passes are Ok, but he often falls over for no
reason whatsoever. At least he can make
Hwa smile. |
|
|

|
| Freaky Ray |
Defense |
Brother to Jason and Ken,
this guy is a bit immature and usually
quite annoying. I'm sure he will grow
out of it, most people do. Not a bad
defender for a Royston Batty. |
|
| |
| Ken Yu |
Midfield |
The third brother is a keen
footballer but has moved to London to
study. Kenny was a good all rounder but
I'm not sure what he's like now. I do
know that he's a dirty bastard though. |
|
Ex-Panda United
Here are some old players, special thanks to all. They are
more than welcome back anytime!
|

|
| Paul |
Midfield
(central) |
Paul is a hongky and returned
home to teach English and study Wing
Chun. A very good all rounder, Paul was
particularly skillful. His physical game
improved by leaps and bounds while
playing in England. Being very
passionate (about footie) he was also a
good captain. Hello Paul, u fool. |
|
|

|
| Jonny Tang |
Defense |
Jonny is tall, six foot one
tall. He therefore dominated the aerial
defense. Big J lacked stamina but had
good all round skills. Jonny had
excellent vision passing/crossing
abilities. He is remembered especially
for scoring the first goal against
Hackney, which led to their 6-1
destruction. He is however controlled by
his 'wife'. |
|
|

|
| Laurence |
Defense |
Laurence is an excellent
defender and also doubled up as a very
good goal keeper. He is just as solid as
Be, but is the best aerial defender I
have ever seen. This transcends
nationality categories. When he and Be
were together, I had to do a lot less
worrying and back tracking. |
|
|

|
| Daich |
Goal |
Daich is the best Oriental
goal keeper I have ever seen. When at
uni, he was the second team goalie and
also occasionally played as a sweeper.
Daich was just a king in goal. He is
also undisputed champion of dirty e-mail
distribution. He also liked his beer,
which is another good thing. |
|
|

|
| Mr. Poon |
Coach
/Midfield |
Mr. Poon was a cool guy. He
organised events and (more importantly!)
quality food. He was a passionate about
our welfare but due to some silly
misunderstandings, was forced to leave.
He also enjoyed playing on pitch and was
a reasonable player. The eyes of Poon
saw through all things. |
|
Also a special mention to Kaz, our temporary coach who taught
us a lot. And hello to Cheese and Tony. Cheers.
