The song that's playing is "our" song.  The final time I saw Christy we both heard this song and felt that it should be "our" song.  Everytime I listen to "All My Life" it brings back many memories of Christy and I.
"It takes a long time, but many of us meet a person that we'll always love and never will forget. 1995 I found that person."

So now you're sleeping peaceful
I lie awake and pray
that you'll be strong tomorrow
and we will see another day
and we will praise it
and love the light that brings a smile
across your face

This won't be easy to refresh the memories Christy and I had together, but I feel
that I need to.

I met Christy White during the summer of 1995 @ Cystic Fibrosis camp in Battle Creek, Michigan. I remember meeting her like it was just yesterday.  Actually a friend of hers introduced me to her.  I was 16 at the time and Christy (Chris) was 13.  I remember walking outside and seeing this precious girl hoola-hooping.  She had the
cutest giggle I'd ever heard in my life.  It was night time and we were laughing and hoola hooping together.  Basically we were flirting.  I'm not sure what we spoke about because this was 6 years ago.  Anyway, she was chasing me and I was chasing her.  It was time for her to go back to her dorm and get ready for bed.  We hugged each other.  I believe she was wearing a white sweat shirt. It was just a great moment and one that I'll never forget.  Christy and I kept in touch by phone and letters throughout the rest of 1995.

Summer of 1996 approached and it had been 1 year since we'd seen each other.  I was excited to see her again at CF camp and just to be with her.  I was 17 and she was 14 at Camp 1996.  That year at camp we had a blast.  It was a bummer because I brought my rollerblades and she did also, but she couldn't rollerblade with me due to not having knee/arm pads.  She let me wear her USA wind breaker jacket and we were like two pees in a pot.  Christy and I were so close because we shared one thing in common.  That was
Cystic Fibrosis. We didn't have to explain things to one another and we didn't have to "understand" each other.  Because we both had CF.  It was just a simple thing for us.  For the rest of 1996 we kept in touch by phone & letters.

There wasn't a CF Summer Camp in 1997 and I wouldn't see Christy again until the winter of 1997 at a Christmas Bash  party in
Ann Arbor, MI. I was 18 and she was 15 at the time.  From 1997-2000 we didn't see each other, but we kept in good contact through the phone and letters and even e-mails.

March 2000 I seen Chris for the first time in  3 years.  She had grown up to be a very beautiful and special person.  I was 21 and she was 18.  I remember knocking on the door and being very nervous.  She came to the door and I was so happy to see her, and I remember her face shined so bright.  We gave each other a huge hug that seemed to last forever.  We went to the mall, and then we went and did the one thing that I had promised her that we'd do back in 1996.  That was ROLLERBLADE TOGETHER.  This was the first time we ever roller-bladed together and I had promised one day that we would.  Well, that day and time came in March of 2000.  It was a day that I'll never forget in my entire life.   It was the last time I saw Christy due to a lot of things that were going on in her life at the time.
