See this little red, scary dude to the left? That would be a demon. Demons are known as many different things. They're symbols of Satan and Halloween, they're found in horror movies (The Exorcist) and they also are mentioned quite often in the Bible.

Demons may sometimes appear comical and cute, but they also have a much darker side. Demons and devils are sometimes said to be messengers of Satan, and roam the earth wrecking havoc. They are sometimes worshipped in Satanic rituals, although I won't go into that much because I don't know much about it. I'm Catholic.

Demons appear in many movies, especially Satanic horror movies (Bless the Child, The Exorcist, etc.) which is one of my favorite movie genres (right up there with fantasy! ^_~). Demons sometimes possess people's minds and make them do evil things which they would not normally do. Getting rid of the Demons usually requires an exorcism, performed by a priest, or some member of the Church.

The Bible makes many references to Demons, but I believe that they were mostly just sick people who the people thought were possessed with demons because they'd gone insane. The Bible tells aout Christ freeing people s souls from demons.
